I always leave Merchant New Market extremely satisfied. The staff are incredible; very helpful, very sweet and kind. Also, they know their products, they know their leather care info, so so helpful. They’ve got a lovely selection and I shopped there a couple times, but honestly they stand out for their great customer service, even if you don’t end up buying anything. love love my new boots
Excellent range of product, great customer service! I went to Merchant Newmarket after having a poor experience at a store nearby and came away a very happy customer that will definitely return. Upon entering the store I was promptly greeted by Isabella, who was great from start to finish, knew the range and had excellent product knowledge. I tried on 4 pairs of shoes before selecting the best option, they had my size in all types too which is rare occurrence. I also had a great experience chatting online with Sorel who provided a level of service that prompted me to check out the Newmarket store, and I am glad I did. Thanks team, keep up the good work!
The shop assistant brought me a pair of shoes which I chose from the display. The shoes had different colour shades of leather definetly not supposed to be she insisted they were ok

My daughter bought a pair of flat heel shoes from this shop, 3 months later, the heels areas are broken and caught leaky. When I showed the shoes to the shop manager, she believes these shoes never has any bad feedback and It's all our fault to wear them to cause this problem.
Just wonderful service from the expert staff. We treated like royalty in the lounge section. Walked away confidently with four pairs of shoes and all the care accessories we needed! Not the first time we've shopped here. And definitely won't be the last! Just such friendly staff and a great selection of shoes to pick from! Thanks Merchant!

If I could I would give a zero star rating, I bought new shoe's from them for my graduation and literally hours after wearing them for the first time out the box the sole started to came off at my graduation the whole time at my graduation i was walkingaround with the sole falling of from the front. And the next day my sister went to get a refund for a shoe that barely lasted one event and the employee tells my sister we can't refund you we can only repair the shoe at this time. But literally you can tell the shoe is not durable and its a manufacturering fault. Anyone that wants to get new shoes i would highly recommend go elsewhere.
This branch has some expert staff who patiently gave us their time and attention. We came to buy some formal men’s shoes and a belt, and we left very happy. The staff had excellent suggestions about colours, designs and fit. They even stayed past closing time to help us. This particular Merchant branch is also great because it has a wide selection of shoes including their premium line. The visual merchandising makes it fun and easy to browse the shop. Also, there’s a cobbler onsite for very reasonable prices. Finally, they have a seating area where you can relax on a couch if you’re not the one trying on shoes. Definitely my fave Merchant 1948/Overland branch!
Very bad customer service when I wanted to do a return, which was acceptable as part of their returns policy. The shop assistant and the store manager made me feel like I was immoral, and literally used those words when speaking to me. I will never buy shoes from this particular store again.
