Unfriendly, rude,unexperienced staff. don't even know how to take blood.secondly they are corrupt because they force me to pay$150 just because I don't have Medicare and I have overseas health cover which is fully covered.nowhere else ask me money before like this.i had to go home to get money in emergency.one staff member said rules are changed few months ago.and last time(5 days ago) I went to Melbourne pathology and they didn't ask me money.these people have their own rules to rip overseas students off.DISGUSTING..and pay extra to itemise the invoice..i suggest never go there .

One of the worst lab I ever seen .. I been there 12 pm even no receptionist and the lady who was working in lab nt friendly , rude and even don't know how to do the job especially collecting samples....

The worst lab ever to collect samples from babies, I called Melbourne pathology's switchboard to ask if they have professional person to collect a blood sample from my baby (4 months of age) and they sent me to this lab. and when I went there, the lady checked my baby's right arm and she couldn't find his vein and she tried with the other one and also couldn't!!! then she asked another lady to help her and said to her "I'm not confident to do it"!!! So she stretched my baby's arm for the other lady to try, but my baby was starting to scream because she hurting him, after that she did it again in the other arm and he was screaming all that time. Then she decided to get the blood sample from his feet without explaining for me and my husband how she going to do that. and all what I was thinking about "they may try to find another vein from his leg instead of his arms"!!! So she sting him and start to squeeze his feet so bad to collect the blood sample "drop by drop" in 1mml tube and my poor baby was crying extremely hard, then my husband get really angry and told her you shouldn't do that by this way, but she told him we are very professional and this is very common way and we do it for many kids, but he said to her no it's not acceptable at all and if you explain to us before you do it, we can come in another day or going to different lab. Also I shocked when I called Melbourne pathology to make a complaint and they told me that she is the manager for that lab ... what the hick!!!! They are unprofessional at all .. at all and they need to refresh their courses including their manager. By the way last week I was in Monash University Clinic Clayton to check my son and the pathology lab there collect the sample from his arm "very easy" .. even without crying because they are really professional not like Melbourne Pathology's fake people in St Albans. So please don't take your kids to there and don't trust Melbourne Pathology switchboard, and I will go to my GP to check his leg because he has a bruise in his feet "hopefully nothing wrong".
