I visited this restaurant for BBQ today. Despite the small number of customers, I waited nearly 20 minutes for my order. When the meat finally arrived, both types looked poorly handled — broken pieces, strange texture, and a strong, unpleasant smell that didn’t seem fresh. One of the thicker cuts had such a bad odor that my friend and I decided to stop eating, worrying it might be spoiled.nnI’ve tried all of the hotpot options here before, but found most of them overly salty, which is why I decided to try the BBQ instead this time. Unfortunately, today’s experience was just as disappointing. After this visit, I don’t think I’ll be coming back again.

Got black bean noodle, chicken dosirak and some iced tea. The food was alright but the portion was massive  I’d love to come back and try the BBQ next time.

We have been regular visitors of Meekak however since the change of ownership in 2025 the service and overall atmosphere continues to decline. Tonight was an exceptionally poor experience. We arrived and requested a table and were prepared to wait however the owners daughter was nothing short of obnoxious from the outset. It was as though we were inconveniencing her by even requesting a table. The food was the slowest it's ever been. Historically food has been ridiculously fast regardless of how busy they are, tonight we received one plate of chicken, no bowls or cutlery and a wait of over 25 mins for the remaining dishes. The way the daughter spoke to one of the male staff members was so rude and condescending we decided at that point we wouldn't return. The owners were no better. Not a single smile or attempt to interact even when we approached them with a smile and hello.  We were again made the feel like nothing more than an inconvenience.nnThe regular long-term team were delightful as usual. And we're grateful to have seen some friendly familiar faces.nnAnother great local business ruined by mediocre owners and poor attitudes.

This is our FAVOURITE Korean restaurant.  The serving are generous and the menu is exhaustive!  MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!¡

The food was not nice at all. The beef tasted odd and was chewy. The bento box was not appealing and did not feel or taste fresh. The watermelon crush was massive, but overly sweet and full of syrup and sugar. I thought it was going to be actual watermelon, so avoid this if you have diabetes. The place itself was spacious and clean and the staff were friendly, but I would not recommend this place.
