The staff who work here are decent but they are completely hamstrung by decisions made by head office. Communicating with them is so extremely frustrating and you have to wonder if it's intentional to make you give up. For the record I have paid $50,000 in taxation in the last financial year I am not contacting them to get free cash. Every time I try to login to mygov the service is down for maintenance or is unavailable.
Yes, 5 stars for my visit today, 30.4.24.nFrom reception check in to bring seen, was probably the shortest time I've ever waited. Possibly due to the awful weather.nLovely blonde lady at the end counter who served me was nothing but polite, kind and respectful. Listened to me carefully, checked the system thoroughly and within no time at all and without an appointment my issue was resolved and off I went.nnI am absolutely certain that these people too have bad days and don't mean to take it out of anyone, just like the customer who has perhaps taken their bad day out on the Centrelink worker.nnRespect in turn deserves respect, but remember we are all imperfect humans, so be kind regardless.
To say the experience I had today at this office was shamefully horrendous would be an understatement. I try to avoid actually going into a Centrelink Office wherever possible and am very proficient at handling my Centrelink business via the app but, unfortunately I could not avoid it today and I thought, maybe I could talk through my issue with a consultant and find a good solution, a bit of 'soundboarding' might do the trick. I'd already done my research and had found a possible solution I really just wanted to run it past someone and as I couldn't actually make the change using the app I needed someone to do it. So, in I went, EARLY, so I could get in and out.nnI was called by woman who was blatantly uninterested and expressionless who knew absolutely nothing of the options I had researched, ignored my questions and went silent for 40mins while she educated herself before telling me she can't help me and gave me a number to call.nnAlso, the fact that there are no responses to any of the reviews here, good or bad, by any kind of management at all, says alot about the overall 'take it or leave it' attitude and lack of accountability of the entire pile..
Very poor of some staff there, especially there is an Indian Lady always infront they pretend like they put you through waiting list ,I didn't here my name for almost 2 hours and I had to ask why,at the time on February I am 3 weeks from labour,they don't even care,no humanity....why is Centerlink Service there then if you can't help someone. Since then I never get Help.
