They wrongly ticketed a menu log order and offered no acceptance in the mistake and no offer to fix the order immediately, even for me to pick up. Instead a voucher to be sent via mail. Horrible attitude of the manager on the phone also. Went back through the drive through later in the day and had to wait 30 minutes for a coffee order!!
Fries are nearly always cold, and like cardboard, Ice cream products - sundae's Mcflurry's are made before your burgers and left sitting to melt while your hot food is being literally thrown together I can't remember the last time I actually got fries that weren't cold, old and ready for the bin or an ice cream product that wasn't half melted and a burger I didn't have to reassemble when I got home and had to zap it for 20 seconds in the microwave so its not cold to eat after a 2min drive home. Funny watching staff finished their shifts put their order in themselves, get themselves fresh fries while I'm still waiting for my order that was ordered prior to them, and get themselves fries that weren't already in packaging ready to go, why? Oh, that's right cos they've been sitting there for at least 5mins and are cold and disgusting, but hey, we'll give them to paying customers that ordered before we did...
At first glance, the local McDonald's restaurant seems like any other fast-food chain. It boasts the familiar golden arches, neon signs, and the smell of sizzling burgers and fries. But upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that there is something deeper at play here. Something metaphysical, even. As we step inside, we are transported into a different realm - a liminal space where the boundaries between the physical and the immaterial blur and merge. We are greeted by smiling employees and the sound of chatter and clanging dishes, yet we also feel a sense of unease. Is this really a restaurant, or is it something else entirely? The simulation hypothesis comes to mind - the idea that our entire reality is a computer simulation. Could it be that this McDonald's is not a physical entity at all, but rather a projection of our collective consciousness? A construct designed to satisfy our primal cravings for fast, cheap, and convenient food? Or perhaps, the truth lies somewhere in the space between the physical and the symbolic. The McDonald's restaurant is more than just a place to grab a quick meal - it represents a cultural phenomenon, a symbol of the modern world's obsession with efficiency, consumerism, and uniformity. It is a space where the lines between the individual and the collective blur, where we become mere cogs in a larger machine. But despite all this, there is something undeniably human about the McDonald's experience. The taste of a Big Mac, the sound of a soda fountain, the smell of ketchup - these sensations are real, even if the underlying reality is not. And in a world where the boundaries between the real and the artificial are increasingly blurred, perhaps it is the experience itself that matters most. In the end, the local McDonald's restaurant remains a mystery - a liminal space where the physical and the symbolic converge, where the lines between reality and illusion are blurred. But whether it is a mere simulation or a tangible entity, it is undeniable that it represents something profound about the human experience. A reminder that, no matter how virtual or artificial our world may become, we are still physical beings with a deep-seated need for connection, nourishment, and meaning.
Restaurant area was clean and tidy, crew were lovely and well mannered even when they were smashed with orders from both drive thru and dining. Shout out to Izzy for the best hot chocolate I have had from Macca’s in months plus the fries I also ordered were fresh and not too oily either.
Consistently the worst McDonald's in Australia. Food is normally terrible. Constant delays when ordering. Managers are rude when problems are pointed out. Tonight was the last straw. Go anywhere else.
I would start this by saying I hate Pepsi. This afternoon I decided I would like to quench my thirst with a nice large Coke. After tasting the first sip, I could tell something was off. What was going on. I had my accomplice give their input. Then it hit us like a truck. We starred at the soggy straw in dismay. We had unintentionally consumed… the dreaded Pepsi. I only left one star bc the server was nice and seemed unaware of the horror that was about to take place.
I can appreciate that people make mistakes and living in Lara I have experienced quite a few from Lara McDonalds. I am a forgiving and tolerant person but after speaking to managers politely on the phone after returning home with incorrect large family orders to be met with no apology and the attitude of somehow it was my fault or that I was lying. When talking through their mistake I am offered a voucher sent by mail in a week like they are giving me something for free instead of receiving what I have paid for a week late with a lot of inconvenience. I am happy to be contacted by McDonalds management to further discuss my experiences.
Easily the worst McDonald's in Geelong, unbelievably slow and always manage to mess up on even the most basic of orders.
Kudos to the young team who gracefully accepted 10 rowdy festival-goers right at the 6am opening on a Saturday morning, A+ crispy hashy beez and great service for such an early start
Absolutely horrendous. Staff are incredibly rude and disrespectful. Made me wait 30 minutes for a frozen coke. Absolutely terrible. I can safely say this is the worst MacDonalds in the country. But I’ve never been there so I so think know.
