Brought fried noodles.. not happy. Brought 2 container, noodles was so dry. No Chinese sausages?, No salt was no taste what so ever, only had a bit of chicken on top. To make it look good. But that it inside the noodles was nothing.. lost a customer ,went all in the bin,, waste of money. Never again.
I decided to give this takeaway food shop a try. Upon entering I saw a sign that said cash only. Ever since covid, card has always been the preferred form of payment. It was annoying that they did not accept card payment anyhow I went to find an ATM to withdraw cash and tried not to let this deter me from supporting them. Went back into the restaurant and asked the man behind the counter if everything on the menu was still available seeing that they still had 2 hours before closing. The man laughed at me and said no. Nothing on the menu is available and said the only thing that is available is this brianni which was all sitting on the front counter, who knows when it was cooked and how long it was sitting on the bench for. I was pretty annoyed that I made the trip there and they had no food left. What kind of takeaway shop has no food to sell 2 hours before they are due to close!!! Love to support my own but I was throughly disappointed with this place. So I left stuck with $50 cash and no food.
My husband and I recently bought some mauritian food. We had an amazing lunch dholl puri, chicken and beef curry. We also had some napolitaine which is amazing. If you miss mauritian food I highly recommend this place. Thank you for the lovely food next time we come to Melbourne we are definitely coming back to your place

Support your local businesses and give your taste buds a wonderful treat at the same time. Order by phone to ensure your favourites are available post lockdown 6. We love this place.
I have been going to Mauritian Food for many years. The samosas are the best not to mention all the other fresh wholesome food available there. Dario and his staff pride themselves on the quality of the food they prepare. On all my regular presentations that I conduct prior to the pandemic my agents always insist that I bring samosas from “the” Mauritian place! Thank you Dario and Staff! Cheers! Gordon
I was there on Wednesday 10 February 2021. Dario was extremely friendly and welcoming as usual. I enjoyed some Mauritian delicacies and also bought some Napolitaine. I have to admit that the foods are much better quality and taste than in Mauritius itself. Great customer service, very clean premises. Wide variety of goods at great affordable prices. Thank you Dario. Keep up the great work. Will visit you again and again as long as you're there.
It's been over 10 years now that I have been getting my Mauritian food from Mauritian Foods. I have always enjoyed having some nice conversations with Dario, the owner of the place. It was always a pleasure to stop by. But recently things don't seem to be the same anymore. Quite frankly I was disappointed when I walked in the other day. It was a Saturday at lunchtime. Everyone seemed busy and seemingly too busy to take my order. I ended up waiting 10 minutes despite people in the kitchen clearly noticing that I was waiting. This time Dario would not even recognise me. I understand that you guys are busy but least you could do is avoid having your customers wait so long only to be told that you could not take orders. I am quite disappointed because I was quite used to people working there and they usually showed an interest. But this time it turns out that the new staff is not very keen to help.
.......a little place, not on a main road, but easy to access from Noble Park or Dandenong areas......we love their farata and the green coconut chilli chutney which you buy from a little container in the fridge.....Dhall pouri are also really good, i'm just more of a farata person, .....their other pickles and chilli are good to....although i like my Dad's home made mauritian chilli the best!
