With over 200 market traders spread out over 8000 square metres, Dandenong Market offers everything from honeycomb fresh from the beehive, to flowers cut straight from the farm, to apples picked from the orchard.

Do not shop for groceries unless you have first paid a visit to this place if you are close or can drive to this place during the weekends.nThe prices you have seen even in cheap local stores and shops will be beaten for sure.nSpecially if you are a seafood lover, you can find fresh and reasonably priced fish in this market.nFor hookah/shishah lovers, the cheapest tobacco flavours are there too.nYou can also enjoy the authentic food stalls. We tried Colombian food and loved it.
I can confidently say it’s a gem for anyone who values fresh produce and variety. The first thing that strikes you is the abundance in the fresh meat and seafood hall. Schwarze Seafoods stands out with its impressive selection of seafood options to satisfy every palate. Their cleaning and filleting service on whole fish purchases is incredibly convenient—my tip? Arrive early to get the best picks!nnThe Peanut Market is another highlight, perfect for bulk buying nuts and grains. Their in-house roasting adds an extra layer of flavor, and their homemade cookies are simply delicious—a must-try if you're visiting! For all your spice, oil, and grocery needs, Spice & Grocery the sister shop has everything covered.nnAfter shopping, the food hall offers a fantastic array of snacks suitable for all taste buds; it's a great way to recharge after exploring. The massive fresh fruit and vegetable section showcases quality products at competitive prices—whether you're looking for small quantities or bulk buy specials, there’s something for everyone.nnAdditionally, the Bazaar features specialty stores ranging from clothing to homewares and jewelry, making it easy to find unique items while you shop. Accessibility is also excellent here; ample parking makes navigating through the market hassle-free.nnOverall, this market provides not just groceries but an enjoyable shopping experience filled with freshness and variety. Highly recommended!
Dandenong Market is a great spot to visit if you’re after fresh produce and affordable prices. The place is really clean, and there’s such a huge variety of things to choose from – fresh fruit, veggies, meat, seafood, and even unique items from different cultures. It’s a lively and friendly market where you can find almost anything you need without breaking the bank.nnDefinitely worth checking out!
Went to Dandenong Market on an afternoon.nEasy to find and plenty of parking available for free.nThe market has a lot of fresh vegetables, fresh fruit. Going deeper inside the market there are butchers with fresh cut meats and seafoods, all with different selections.nThere is a food court area with some places you can eat, not much selection of cuisines here but it's easy and it's there so why not.nAt the back area there's a warehouse with numerous shops selling other wares such as bags, electronics, clothing etc.nA lot of foot traffic and people at the market so it can get loud and overwhelming if being in large crowds isn't your thing.nEasily over 100 shops / stalls.nPrices are all cheaper than Coles or Woolworths.nWould go back for fresh food!
I visited them to look around the night fair they were having on the weekend. It was a pleasant experience, i would say. From the little to the adults, there was something for everyone.nI did enjoy the music after some good culinary bites. The prices seemed higher but I did not mind because the food was tasty.nI got to explore different cultures like Filipino, Sri Lanka, German, Senegal etc.
