I was very satisfied with this supermarket in Dandenong where I used to reside near. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. It seems like each employee specialises in one specific category. Sometimes the products run out which is quite annoying and frustrating, but I suppose and I would say that the employees and the crew are trying their best to provide us with a quality, nice supermarket.
Last night I bought Coles Bakery Soft Round Rolls which wasn’t soft at all. They were half baked and smaller than usual also taste old perhaps the label said baked on 17/8, the baker in this Coles needed some basic training on baking no offence. I would seek refund straight away rather than throwing away but only noticed at my dinner. Everyone trusted Coles brand to buy daily breads but guys be aware and check before buying don’t waste your hard errand money on “hard” buns. So disappointing…….
Sometimes, when I visit Dandenong marketplace, I usually go to this Coles. Good location, long opening hours, and plenty of parking space available. There's a dedicated Halal food corner available here, too, in case you are looking for Halal meats. The shop is quite big and the staff are well mannered and helpful. Most of the stocks are available, and prices are reasonable being next to Dandenong marketplace. The only issue I notice is the presence of homeless people almost in the front door and don't feel comfortable seeing them all the time. However, I understand that Coles management has very little control over this situation. Good experience overall, and I enjoy shopping groceries here.
I Don't appreciate Coles letting people hanging around the front door asking other's for money, I don't care if they are homeless drug addicts or not, it's a bad look. Children shouldn't have to see it & Elderly people shouldn't have to deal with it.
Overall very good. I love the scoop and weigh section. Prior to the curfew, I loved the late opening hours. Also plenty of half price roast chicken at nights, generally they are ready around 8pm. The meat section however could be better. Some of the premium cuts aren’t here when I checked scotch fillet, eye fillet, pork chops, etc.
