I have been getting my hair done by Aroha, who is so incredibly lovely, for the past year. Today was the first time I went anything other than blonde, and I was really nervous, but she did the most AMAZING job ! She really took the time to listen to me and gave advice about what she recommended for my hair and the results are beautiful. I have never been happier . 10/10 also for the general vibes in the salon, everyone there is always so kind :

Got my hair cut by Shannon, and left feeling extremely disappointed as she didn’t listen or produce the style I wanted. My curtain bangs are uneven way too long overall look worse than before I went, then she curled it at the end so it looked different and I wouldn’t notice…. Shannon is amazing. Always gives me great service and my colour is always spot on. If I need a cut I just tell Shannon what length or what I want and she just delivers every time.

I thought I’d grab a haircut for my birthday and since my regular hairdresser was full, I decided to make a booking at Matt Forsman and definitely regret it now.  I’ll start of by saying how lovely and accommodating the staff are - that’s a well deserved 2 stars.  My issue was with the haircut. The hairdresser did not exactly get the idea of I wanted. She kept say she was styling my hair for curly hair despite me repeatedly saying my hair isn’t curly. I also requested no thinning scissors as I know from experience my hair doesn’t respond well to these and i like to keep it heavier, despite this they were used.  It’s just not a good feeling to leave an appointment feeling like this especially when it costs $110. The person cutting my hair was super lovely but I just don’t feel like I was listened to.  I have never left a negative review anywhere before but after waking up this morning and still feeling super disappointed I just wanted to share my experience.

I have just been to Matt Forsman for the first time and I am in love. The service the atmosphere are awesome and he has rediscovered my curls and given me hope for a way better life and style for my hair - very excited for the future of my locksServices:&nbsp;Curly hair

First experience getting hair cut professionally. Elliot was amazing and made me feel very welcome and looked after. Will definitely be returning soon!

The end result of my hair is not worth the $285 they charged me and that was with a 25% student discount. Always ask for a quoted price before they do your hair. Victoria Street salon charged me $65 over the quoted price due to extra products used which I was not consulted about. Customer service from other stylists was great. Owner needs to work on customer service skills.
