Our in restaurant experience was grouse, but we have twice ordered take away pizza and it just doesn’t work. Two things wrong here. Burnt and tomato sauce overriding all other flavours. We so wanted this to be grouse too. Revisited with olive pip update.
Most disgusting attitude from staff and one in particular, the food was good but completely ruined by the rude response's after simply request. After requesting for some coffees to be made we rudely told, the boss said that we are not a coffee shop after asking if they served any syrups or what sugar they provided. I'll give it to the chef beautiful food but you will never keep customers without the service that place has great potential but it was just such a let down.
My sister inlaw ordered food over the phone. However she went to the wrong place .... arriving at Marinelli's Kealba instead of Marinelli's in Keilor East. My sister in law realised that she arrived at the wrong resturant after requesting her meals, however the owner of Marinelli's Maurice said that he it was ok, and provided reassurance because he owned the resturant where the original order was placed and that he would fix everything. The owner said he would deliver the food and he did, although forgetting the salads. Then the phone calls started from the original resturant and menu log. The owner lied, he didnt own the other resturant and the deceitful nature is not appreciated. We feel terrible for the real owners of the resturant where the order was made. We made a mistake at arriving at the wrong place. However honesty is the only way to run a business. We will arrive at the right resturant from now on.
Overall, the most horrible and worst restaurant i've ever been in my life. Chicken parma was way too expensive and super bland. And they put the parma in a pizza box with an aluminium foil underneath. UTTER FAILURE!...I asked for chips but they gave a salad which only had lettuce and tomatoes, again with no seasoning AT ALL. Been there three times as i live down the road but the food never tasted better. Pollo Funghi pasta was undercooked. Chicken schnitzel was pretty much like rubber. I've never been so disappointed in my life.
Poor service. Poor food. Asked for drinks to come out WITH meals. They came out about 20 minutes before the food. When we eventually got our food, there was no cutlery. When i asked for it, the waitress laughed and apologised and left to retrieve them, then forgot and I had to ask again. The meat was undercooked and cold by the time we could actually eat it. The coffee was cold as i waited to drink it with my meal as I asked.
Great Italian restaurant. Maurice and his staff provide an excellent service and the food is always 10/10. Very reasonable pricing an excellent choice to take the family or friends to dine out.
Terrible service. We had all finished our meals and had been waiting for 10 minuets before the waiter came out, and instead of clearing our table he swept the floor. And we were the only customers at the time! They have nice food though.
Pizzas are not bad, had a Chicken Parma. It was as dry as desert. The rest of their eat in menu is way too expensive for what you get. I live close by and won't bother with going to Marinellis for Pizza.
Made an order in menulog, menulog doesn't show garlic bread in the menu so I called to add it to the order. First time round got hung up on then spoken very rudely too when calling back up. Heard from my mates that there's bad attitude there but now I've seen it myself. Won't be returning
We go here often,very happy with food,friendly staff,huge meals great value for money. Great for family's or meeting up with friends.
