I’ve been coming here since I was a baby up until my early 20’s, along with my siblings. I sadly moved out central last year & had to register with a local doctor who don’t provide the outstanding services I’m used to. Have always had good experiences coming here & the reception lady’s are lovely, along with the nurses and doctors.
Mangere Health have been my GP for over 5 years. Within the last year, their has been a decline in their accessibility where I have had no choice but to move my family to another GP. Trying to book an appointment with this centre is very frustrating! It's almost impossible to be seen by my doctor or any doctor in the centre. They're always fully booked that week or the week after. Understandably, COVID-19 has made it difficult for the Centre and NZ's healthcare in general but I haven't had issues with my new GP and there seems to be better accessibility and empathy there. Glad I made the move.
I have received a very negative treatment from the nurse that I was scheduled to see. I emailed my concerns to the clinic but received no response. I hope they will follow up and take action. I have had good service and nice experience with the previous nurse and the receptionist but not the last one. Updates: I have received a response and support was provided to resolve the situation. I appreciate the management response. Reception staff, my doctor and the nurse I have been dealing with are great. Thank you for that.
Almost 3+ years with this clinic and you can never get an appointment on the same week! Probably lucky enough to get a slot in 2 weeks. So frustrating!!! Tried the online thing they say that helps and submitted a request last week and still no call backs. Reception makes it worse! You don’t feel welcomed when you call in.
This has been my health centre with the same doctor for nearly 40 yearsI was a baby, and this doctor is now my children's doctor so it speaks for itself. I find making appointments easy, the nurse is friendly and informative and on to it when reminding me about due check ups. The receptionists are lovely and approachable
I had my first visit this week. Although I had to phone them a couple of times beforehand since they were busy but they followed through and a nurse returned my call to book the appointment. On the day, the GP called me in the morning for a brief phone consultation and prescribed me medicine. I was attended by Nurse Sevita who answered all my questions and paid attention to all my concerns. She was engaging and thorough. Pleasant first experience!
Never got a call back. I called to confirm my appointment 2min after it was supposed to have started, the receptionist Sandy confirmed Dr. would call back before closing - Never got a call back & have waited over an hour. I understand that the healthcare industry is currently being overwhelmed with the cv19 traffic light system prioritising severity/walk-ins however a consultation would be much preferable than to be going to the hospital for something insignificant OR waiting for that insignificance to become hospital level of pain.
Sooo poor service always docters are down for them and also stops taking admission from 5pm when it closes at 8pm watta hasle to travel there and for their poor service reception ladies sooo rude in terms of talking esp today when i went 5pm just waste of time for being a healthcare should close down instead
when did mangere health centre become so unhelpful in every possible way? absolutely disappointed, moving to another practice.
I have been with this Practice for many years thanks to my husband. The admin ladies are amazing and are always welcoming, the best part is my doctor Dr Tim Hou! Definitely the BEST in the business!! My family are forever grateful to him! He's a true gem, hope he never ever leaves can't forget his amazing nurse too! Thank you Mangere Health Centre..you are all amazing
