It's been a while since I've been back. We got the penne arrabbiata and lasagna. I would prefer the arrabbiata sauce a little more spicier but the sauce was still yum. However the lasagna was a bit underdone, with the middle a bit colder than the edges, which left me a bit sad. But the sauce was so good.... I barely cared! Definitely recommend.  Food did take a bit longer to come out though. Prepare to wait a little bit.

One of the best pasta we had for a long time. Risotto was made perfectly, pasta was al dente!. Not to mention the portion was massive. Loved it and highly recommended.

The food is super! The waiter and waitress are also nice and gave us insight about what is good to order. It's better to have a reservation since they are busy at most times. Had a delightful dinner with the fam.

Appreciate the way staff handled our booking. Our numbers kept changing, and they were accommodating and efficient in handling. I get the impression they are very very busy and would like confirmation of numbers as soon as possible, especially on weekends. Food was very good, though I preferred their soups and meat dishes to their pastas. There was a little hiccup when our mains did not arrive in a timely way, though this was quickly rectified when we brought it to their notice. Because of the crowds, it was noisy and hard to have conversations, but this is true for every Italian place I have been to. I would like to go again, but only it was not too crowded.

Amazing food. The best Italian food I have eaten and the best in Canberra by a country mile! So fresh, made with love and the most amazing taste! Friendly staff, good vibe about the place and good prices. Definitely one of our favourites!Food: 5/5

A great restaurant with excellent food and service. The chicken risotto with peas was first class. Piping hot and very taste. White Italian Pino Grigio by the glass was also excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would return again.

Nice food and service. However, would have been a better experience if they had air-conditioning. It was 32c today outside, so much hotter in the restaurant. We wanted desserts but couldn't wait to eat our mains so we could leave.

THE finest homemade-style dishes cooked with love by a grandma and grandpa, decent portion with affordable price, pasta and sticky pudding served in preheated plates/bowls are better than many fancy Italian restaurants that I’ve tried.

Overall: Mama's is always a go to for quick and easy Italian pasta that is well located, with friendly staff and lively, cosy atmosphere.  Liked: The seafood spaghetti was tasty and had a good amount of seafood which is definitely not the case at all restaurants. The dessert was simple but flavourful and done well. The staff were very friendly and genuine.  Improvement: It was a full house but hopefully the speed of service can be improved. The wait for the mains was a little too long.
