Indonesian food at a food court. Really friendly service. Portion is decent. We had the ribs: some pieces were nice and juicy, but a couple pieces were very lean and hard. The flavour is great though, very flavourful and smokey! We also had the siomay, which was okay, I wish it was a little bit more chewy like traditional siomay in Indonesia. The peanut sauce is bomb! Love the fact that it's a self serve sambal, fresh chili, and fried shallots!! PS: the fresh chili is very spicy, you've been warned. If you're not too keen on extra-spicy, take the sauce instead.
One of the best Indonesian food in chatswood, the food is delicious and my Indonesian partner also loves them. But they only do pick your own choices set on weekends which is bit annoying and they are a bit overpriced in my opinion. Portion of dishi mean the meat is not that generous considering the price. But flavour-wise they are very good! Strongly recommend the Bakso soup and Grilled Ribs, both my personal favourite from them!
Sate ayam chicken satay & bihun goreng vermicelli noodle sooooo good! The peanut sauce & lontong rice cube reminds me of indo abang2 to remedy my homesick syndrome. Bihun goreng has the "wok" taste. Will go back next in area.
I went up to the store but noone was at the front. I had to call out twice before anyone came out. They have authentic Indonesian dishes but quite limited as I wanted the Nasi campur/uduk but it's only available on Saturday and Sunday respectively. I ordered the beef curry, it was nice and delicious. Curry was fragrant and the beef and intestines were soft and tender. Would definitely go back here for a quick Indonesian fix.
Had dry noodles with beef balls and bihun goreng. Great portion and it's yum!
Beautiful staff and amazing food. We had the Nasi Goreng and Chicken Goreng Ayem and both dishes and staff were excellent. Not our 1st time there, & definitely not our last time either. Terima Kasih Food: 5/5
A hidden gem!! I was desperate for mid-priced variety when takeout was my main diet during a sad period of fulltime study+work... Never thought twice about the whole dingy looking Mandarin centre, but just gotta expand your boundaries ya know. Anyhow I love a well-made stirfry noodle so the Beehoon Goreng, which was the first thing I tried, has become the holy grail of their menu for me. It used to be only $12.9 but yes prices have gone up. It has good char and flavour, the strands are not clumped or sloppy - basically a hallmark of a very good stir fry! Most HK cafes cant do a good vermicelli stir fry, flavourless and no char - you're looking at $25+ price point places to get something done as nicely or flying to see some proper SE street stalls... Their ribs are great but quite expensive for the quantity. The only thing is their window of opening hours is quite limited so no dinners.... The service is prompt and terse but not to be mistaken for obnoxiousness for those easily offended but cant discern brusque with haugty hospitality.
Great Indonesian food option in Mandarin Centre Food Court. My go to to satisfy an immediate craving for bihun goreng, nasi goreng or mie goreng. They do a good ayam goreng as well. Vegetarian options: Gado gado Parking: Mandarin Centre Car Park
One of the best and cheapest eats in Chatswood. If you are Malaysian or Indonesian, you will really appreciate the authenticity of their dishes! Nothing I won't recommend. I usually go for their 2 or 3 choices with rice and it's so satisfying!
One of the best Mie Goreng dishes I have even had, hot chilli style is the best, highly recommended with Ice coffee.
