Love this place! I pop in regularly cos it's like browsing an art gallery. Amazing designer shoes from a local Dunedin shoe designer, nothing else like it in NZ. Wide variety of styles and prices. And the staff are awesome - very friendly, will go out for their way to help, but will also just leave you to browse in peace if you'd prefer. There are two ranges here, the normal Maher range which is less expensive & more accessible. And then the more expensive Maher X range, which are limited edition premium designer shoes made from high quality leather. If they don't have your size in the store they can often get it from another Maher store in NZ.

One of my favorite places to look for shoes when I want something just a little bit different but not wanting to break the bank to do so and fabulous staff.

Great Polly is a delight
The Bra Clips on slingback shoes mean that they come undone and the strap slips - so you are walking along with the shoes practically falling off. I took in two pairs with this problem today - to back the shop, but they won’t fix them to put more traditional buckles on them so they are secure. Mr Minit is going to fix them. I will not be buying shoes from this store again. One pair I had just bought this year, hadn’t worn and wasn’t offered a refund. The sore make their shoes so why couldn’t they fix them up? Also most shoes they make are quite strange - wish someone would make good quality, reasonably priced and practical shoes for women! Mia Piaci is the best so far.
