Although Gary is still involved in the business, the shop is now run by his Son Troy and his wife Tania. Although Mac’s was started as a Waterski Shop, they have expanded into Snowboard Equipment including Hire aswell. Mac’s is also a Skateboard shop although we do stock Street Skateboards we Specialize in Longboards and Having one of the best ranges of Premium Northern American Longboards in Australia."

I bought long boards and protective gear in the past and service was always excellent not to mention knowledgeable. We had the same experience for renting ski gear for our Hotham holiday. Staff was efficient and patient and equipment was of high quality and aligned with our requirements. I would highly recommend Mac's for either buying equipment or rental.

Great local shop with very helpful staff.  Troy especially always takes the time to give honest and detailed information about their products.  Contacted Mac's after being recommended by a local friend,  when needing to get some snow  chains for our car.

Really good place to hire and buy snow-gears….! Top class customer service…!!

Called the store first to see if they did snow chain hire and to see if they had a particular tire size in stock as many other stores were out of stock that I had previously called due to the size of the tires. The guy on the phone told me they had plenty I told him I would come by today to pick up and that was that. 45 minute drive later I come to pick up the chains only to be told I can’t take them as I didn’t bring the physical car I’m using for the chains as my partner is at work and that’s the car we are using the snow the following day. I have been going to the snow for 10+ years and I’ve never been to a place that doesn’t allow me to buy chains without them being fit first if I know the size I’m after. An absolute waste of my time driving 45 minutes there and back home. You should really explain this to people on the phone if this is a requirement of your business to save people the trip and the hassle. I was able to go to another snow hire store and hire my chains with no fitting needed as I’ve always previously done so your legal requirement excuse was poor. The whole situation was handled terribly. Terrible customer service.
