First thing you notice when you walk into the shop is the sizable menu board on the back wall. Plenty of selection and variety, with one glaring issue. No prices. You read that correctly, the menu board tells you what your options are, as a menu board rightly should, but there is absolutely no indication of prices anywhere on the menu board. When ordering my kebab I had to quite awkwardly ask the server how much their kebabs cost before actually ordering it. Not something I should have had to do. My usual kebab by the way, a chicken kebab with a lot plus cheese and olives was $12.50, So not too bad price wise. The customer service was alright, nothing really of note, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The kebab itself however, actually pretty disappointing. I'll start with the positives, they use a normal wrap, nothing fancy, just the way I like it. It was toasted well, it had a nice crunch. The vegetables tasted fresh, so fresh in fact that there were times that it actually detracted from the overall taste of the kebab. Which leads me nicely into the negatives. First things first, no aluminium foil. A big sin in my books, you can only get away with that if the kebab is perfectly wrapped, and this one was actually wrapped quite well, but nonetheless, it's a kebab, it should be wrapped in aluminium foil. The garlic sauce, the less set about that the better, watery and tasteless, in fact at one point I had to double check to make sure he actually put garlic sauce on it. Obviously cheese and olives were extra, both of which I got hardly any of. I did get a semi-reasonable amount of olives, so I can't really whinge too hard about that, but the cheese was definitely in trace amounts. And the chicken was, ok. That's all that can really be said about it. It was an outstanding, it wasn't terrible, it was ok. As I said above, times where the only part of the kebab I could taste was the vegetables, and while they were great, nobody buys a kebab for just the vegetables. 3/5 stars, had the kebab had a little bit more taste to it I could have probably talked myself into giving them a low 4/5, but coupled with everything else, I've given it what it probably deserves.
I ordered from here. I and I will take fault for this did not show up to collect my order as I had an accident at home and ended up going to the hospital. I ordered again a week later. I drove down to the restaurant which is about a 15 minute drive to be told when I showed up that I owed them $59 for two HSPs as I failed to collect my order last time. I explained that I had an emergency at home, but he said that I could no longer order from them until I paid for the original order. I understand a business needs to make money, but to waste two lots of food and not tell me about this extra charge until I showed up is unfair and unnecessary. They have definitely lost themself a customer. This is really disappointing and as someone with a disability and multiple health issues, feels completely unfair and ableist to my situation.
They are good for HSP, not for the taste but for the size. other dishes are not good. besides HSP nothing is good enough for that amount of money they charge. They should look forward to improving the taste of their food. I have tried most of the dishes from this restaurant and only I found HSP is near to good.Food: 3/5
Decided last night to try a new kebab place as I always go to the same one over and over again, big mistake on my part. Owner/manager at the counter was super nice over the phone and in person so can’t fault that. Ordered a HSP, all was good at the start as it’s obviously covered in sauce so that’s all you can taste originally. Then when I was eating the layer under the sauce where it’s just meat and chips I noticed the meat tasted a bit funny. Nothing crazy but just a little different than I’ve had at my regular kebab places around Melbourne. Woke up in the middle of the night to go vomit and have now had to call in sick to work for food poisoning as I have cold sweats and constant vomiting. Think something the health inspector may need to check out as the restaurant was a bit of a mess walking in and people on this page have accused the workers of not using gloves.
** AVOID ** The good: Fast delivery. The bad: everything else. The HSP was a half full container. Looks like they thought it was a milkshake. Chips was undercooked. Pictured. The flake and chips had the same undercooked chips. The flake was rock solid. You can do so much better in the area for the same price. Go elsewhere.
Very horridble food and service. Owner is very angry and underestimated of his customers. I only buy once but I smell something that is not right and I feel sick so I throwed it out without one taste. I think maybe it is not safe to eat here
Not worth your money, no flavour not a real kebab, they need to learn how to make real kebab meat and real garlic sauce with taste, I took one bite from the hsp and couldn’t chew it and had to run to the toilet to throw up
If you only eat HALAL DO NOT EAT HERE - they are not certified and when I called to ask who their supplier is, he said he can’t answer that and hung up! Super weird and suspicious
Mum and me try and get to this place once a fortnight. The food is always fantastic and the wait time is low. Highly recommend this place of you're in the mood for a nice kebab or burger or anything on their menu.
Thank you for your quick service!i ordered falafel kebabs wrap which was fulfilling and fresh.however,it was bland in taste. Please ensure you do add enough spices/salt/tabbouli etc to give it that kick.
