Worst experience ever! The Blue Hawaii was more foam than drink even on the third attempt and we asked for grilled chicken and ended up with crumbed! Real good for the gluten free patron. Not keen to return here. Seems the food and service is better here in Toowoomba on the weekend.Food: 1/5
I had an absolutely wonderful time at lone star. Food was delicious but the chicken was a bit dry, but it was made up by the service and experience!! I had this lovely girl named Chloe as my waitress she was the most helpful and wonderful waitress I have ever had the honour of meeting in my whole life. I had the best experience of my life!! This girl needs a raise she was basically running the whole shop by herself, well done Chloe!! This was for sure the best day of my life!! My rating isn't a lone star it is a full star night.
Main Meal. I had the all-you-can-eat option. Very delicious meal; the plate was cooked at a very fast speed; nice flavours was presented well; descent food for your money; not over salted with the chips; wings were a little hard; could be better cooked. Ribs themselves were incredible soft falls of the bones; mouthwatering brought this plate to the next level 5/5 Dessert. New York cheesecake: Although the desserts was nice, it could have been better if the New York cheesecake had not been frozen. Fork was very tough getting through the cheesecake. The strawberries were a little Big, and the whipped cream came out of a can. 1/5 Waffles: Best Dish: Incredible warm toasted waffles with marshmallows and chocolate sauce Just wow, it can't be better. Plated excellent 5/5 Customer service experience: Very Good service The experience was nice, and the lady waitress on the floor did an incredible job. Highly recommend going to this restaurant. Honestly wasn't expecting much after reading the other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The service was quick, the food was amazing. I had steak, ribs and briske loaded fries. The steak and ribs were cooked perfectly. The brisket fries were cheesy and delicious. Definitely coming back!
Absolutely a waste of money. Dishes were presented ok but looks are deceiving. Service was ok, pleasant enough. Over $30 for a steak that wasn't cooked to the correct liking, full of gristle. The mushroom gravy was tasteless, the salad wasn't washed & bitter then drowned in dressing. Chips were also cold. The entrees of bruschetta was unappealing with mashed up ingredients, no freshness of ripe tomatoes & laced with bitter red onion. Absolutely dissatisfied.
Great service of our group of 15 without any prior notice. Baby back ribs were cooked perfectly, with a sauce that was not overpowering and had plenty of flavour. Chips were perfectly crispy and coleslaw was great as well.
Dined in at this restaurant. It was just average. Overpriced for what you get. Got their fried chicken and waffles, disappointed at the size, a brunch cafe does better. Chicken were like tinniest little tenders… and just one waffle and one piece of bacon? Skip. Got the beef ribs also, good sized ribs but lacked in taste and seasoning, the signature glazed was good though. If you’re looking for bbq ribs, better off going to a proper smokehouse or ribs place. Wouldn’t call them a ‘rib house’. Overall if you got nowhere else to go give it a go, other items on the menu looks good, may have a better experience.
We’ve been to Lonestar many times now and always loved it. The last two times we have visited have been horrendous. The customer service has declined dramatically. We visited this week and were seated straight away. We didn’t see waitstaff again until after tables that were seated some time after us got drinks and made dinner orders. When we finally got to order it took a ridiculous amount of time to get our drinks which were literally just a bottle of sparkling water and bottomless coke. Then our meals came out and I didn’t even get what I ordered - the meal I got was a huge disappointment. At no time did any waitstaff conduct a table check nor did they come back to ask my husband if he’d like another drink despite buying a bottomless drink - I would have ordered another drink had they done so. The restaurant wasn’t busy which baffles me how the service was so bad. When we paid, the girl did take care of my wrong meal which we appreciated but the last two visits means we are unlikely to come back. There’s really great ribs, wings and burgers around the corner.
No Chardonnay and most tap beer were out. No or little maple syrup on the chicken waffles. Long wait. Disinterested food service person. Drinks staff were fine, but slow ? order for drinks took a lot of time to get to them. Large tables of clients stated that the service was absolutely so slow and meals really, really bad
I had been really looking forward to trying this place but was bitterly disappointed. The wait staff were lovely, but there was an extraordinary wait time on our food. We eventually were told there was a technical error with their order printer in the kitchen with an apology for the delay. We had then told the staff member that one of our party had an appointment and they assured us that our orders would be a priority. But everyone else that had been waiting were getting served before us, even though they had arrived after us. We had waited nearly 2 hours. When the food eventually arrived, my Calamari was totally inedible as it was overcooked and dry like leather. The management was extremely apologetic and discounted our bill, but I'll not be back.
