Story

Thanks for dropping by the Limoncello facebook page or as some call us ‘The Cello’.

We’re a Melbourne inspired café located in the heart of Sandringham, Bayside (or Sandy for the locals). We offer breakfast ('til 3pm), lunch, all day snacks, Friday night Pizzas and the best coffee in Sandy (even if we say so ourselves).

It’s a favourite haunt for the locals. So during the week and weekends you’ll find families dining together, 9-5ers grabbing a coffee for their train ride to work, the teams of cyclists rehydrating, the local sport stars getting a quick fix and the younger guys and girls who love a late breaky.

Went here with 4 others and we all agreed worst food we have had in a long time. Potato rosti was under seasoned and seemed to be cook in not hot enough oil resulting in it being very heavy and greasy. Corn fritters were very heavy and under seasoned. Crispy chicken burger, the chicken wasn’t crispy and again under seasoned. The wait staff were friendly but almost waited an hour for food.

Delicious breakfasts! Even tastier soy chai lattes. I highly recommend the potato rosti with smoked salmon and the French toast with Nutella filling. The panna cotta is also yum! The service was great, we were seated quickly and were able to order quickly. That was fantastic because I was hungry! This is an awesome cafe that we have come back to whenever we wanted a consistent good experience.
