Fairly good quality food and good value. Definitely one of the better value-Asian restaurants in the area, although there aren’t many. Staff are what make the experience. Tell them it’s your birthday and just enjoy what happens from there. Heard from other reviews that the owners are retiring, hopefully the service will still be as good
I am one of the lucky customers to say that I have going to Win Ho's for more than 40 years. I cannot praise 'Ho' enough, not only consistently fabulous food, but as a person, I find him and his business one of life's little pleasures. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Andrew moto friend
Peking pork was tough, tasted literally exactly the same as the Cantonese beef which make no sense other than the fact they've used the same sauces. about 80% of the pork pieces had massive bones through them making it impossible to bite into any part of the meal without potentially breaking my teeth, the fried rice was even dry, not going to be coming back anytime soon, don't mean to be rude but this isn't the first time ordering and being disappointed.
Disappointed. 2hr wait for food when they said only 30mins they said 30mins by phone order, then went to collect food - they said another 20mins. It was another hour until they told me 5mins and they took another 20mins. Plus they didn't give us our whole order. We were able to resolve missing dish with Win Ho. But we will not be coming back... Win No.
We celebrated our son's 6th birthday at Win Ho. The food was as usual really terrific, and they turned the restaurant into an awesome party zone, with electric firecrackers, party music and lights, and the kids always love the gimmicky gifts they hand out. The whole experience was fantastic, everyone had a blast.
Some of the dishes here are lovely - $5 Pork something or other was just ridiculously yummy! Everything else is very average, and quite low in quality. Like the rice is no-name brand or something, and the taste is a bit off, like something is not quite right with the recipe? The service though is really amazing, and we would still eat here again because although it's hit and miss, it's pretty edible.
I'm mainly giving them 5 stars for the service. Beautiful family business with lots of love and care. The food was nice too. The best dish was the homemade spring rolls. We enjoyed the experience.
Win Ho is more than just the food, it's an experience. We always order the roast duck, it is superb value. But the real fun part is the owner, who is a bit of a prankster with fire crackers or whimsical gifts for the patrons. It may or may not float your boat, but you won't forget it. Give it a go!
Unfortunately our fried rice and our sweet n sour chicken was burnt! Service was very friendly but it did take more than 35 minutes before we could take it away - on a quiet Wednesday.
I think this place has changed hands, I've be going here since 2012 but I have to say it's not the place it used to be. I miss the old owner and entertainment. We waited a very long time for my hubby's meal and when it came out the chicken was off. I hope it was just a bad night but I don't think we will ever come back.
