Established in 1863 with its large leadlight windows heavy timbered bars and old english theme throughout celebrating 150 years of continuous trading is one of melbs oldest single story hotels left. Goldy’s! Tavern, CollingwoodnnTrivia AND gnocchi night? Love it.nnOn Monday nights there is free trivia here with a mix of music questions and general knowledge which we loved. It was great in the cozy dining room!nnThey also had $20 gnocchi night where they have new gnocchi dishes every Monday. I had the lamb ragu which was delicious. The ragu was amazing and very generous with its meat servings and Parmesan. The gnocchi itself was a little too firm for me, but I still liked it.nnPictured is also the pumpkin and sage gnocchi.nnOverall 3.9 out of 5.
One of the best pubs around and one of the best places to celebrate. We often find ourselves down at Goldy's! on a week night or at the weekend and are always drawn back by the level of service and welcoming atmosphere throughout the pub.nnWe decided to turn things up a notch and have a little party there to celebrate some good news. It was an event of 30 or so people with kiddos to boot. I couldn't recommend it more highly if you're looking for a place to have an event. The team at Goldy's! make you feel like you're the only one at the pub - what a place to be.
Goldy's! Tavern is a sunday gem, perfect for every dog and their human.nnMassive bonus points for the usual suspects dry Irish stout. The central bar and pool table create a lively atmosphere, making it a great spot for laid back fun.nnFood was delish but on the slightly pricey end. Bangers and mash were a hit.nnWhoever was on aux had exceptional taste in music.
Total gem of a pub off the beaten track! The food was delicious, the staff helpful and friendly, and the decor gorgeous! I loved it to much I bought the tshirt
First time here and it won’t be the last! Delicious food! We had the tuna niçoise superb! and as it was a Wednesday we also ordered the steak special. “ Quite possibly the best steak I have ever ordered” was uttered by my companion on completion of his meal. Service is warm and friendly. Decor has a relaxed, retro vibe. Already looking forward to our next visit!
