Goldy's! Tavern is a sunday gem, perfect for every dog and their human.nnMassive bonus points for the usual suspects dry Irish stout. The central bar and pool table create a lively atmosphere, making it a great spot for laid back fun.nnFood was delish but on the slightly pricey end. Bangers and mash were a hit.nnWhoever was on aux had exceptional taste in music.
Goldy's Tavern has an abundance of old world charm, with various oddities such as mismatched chairs and walls lined with framed photos of dogs working lending the venue a sense of playful quirkiness. The venue is deceptively large, with enough nooks and crannies to leave me scratching my head when trying to find where your friends grabbed a table. The food is pretty decent; we were satisfied with the steak and Parma specials, and there is a good selection of beers on tap.
First time at Goldy’s Tavern and it was so delicious! Got the steak and it was cooked to perfection. Juicy and tender and the red wine jus was the best I’ve ever had! Great atmosphere very cozy and warm, perfect for winter. Definitely recommend and will be back the next time I’m craving a steak!
I would like to start by saying... I am honoured by the fact they named this pub after me. I would like to thank... no just kidding but it was pretty cool as Goldy is my nickname.nnI loved the food. The parmy had a different style to it. I really enjoyed it. I can't say what the difference was but the chef nailed it.nnThe staff at the bar were super kind and caring the manager too. This pub had a very homely feel. I really enjoyed it.nnSo, see you next time and thanks for having us.
Service was hit and miss but more importantly the parma that we had was shocking, whatever the tomato sauce they used was the worst I've tried, unseasoned raw tasting and just plain bad. Serving sizes were also ordinarynChips and salad was fine.
