We had breakfast here today and the food, along with the atmosphere, was absolutely divine. I am so impressed with how they prepared the food, my taste buds were left wanting more but sadly we couldn’t stay for long! Would definitely recommend people to visit this amazing little cafe, will drive up to Kumeu just to visit this place (deserves more than 5 stars).

Our group's meals arrived at different times, and mine arrived 20 min after everyone else had received theirs. The menu was typical cafe fare, but the food and coffee were good. Nice atmosphere.

Looks like one of my favourite places has changed hands. Watched a gentleman, whom I’m guessing is the new owner come in and sit down for a bit, then decided he was going to make his own coffee. Unprofessional look to start with but he did not wash his hand before entering what is a food service area and that’s the reason for the poor review. Lack of basic food hygiene is a one star every time.

This used to be our favourite cafe, but it has changed hands over the summer. My poached eggs were lukewarm and overcooked, my bacon was completely cold and the fat was raw, and my five grain toast was barely toasted. I sent one piece of the toast back to be cooked more and they forgot to bring it back to me. The whole plate was drizzled with pesto (NOT mentioned on the menu) and 3 hours later I still have the taste of pesto in my mouth, despite my best efforts to avoid it on my plate. My daughter ordered a chicken burger type thing without tomato, and paid an extra $5.50 for bacon to be added. It arrived late, when I was about half way through my bacon and eggs (with the aforementioned overpowering pesto), and needless to say it came with three huge slices of tomato (interesting, as the menu stated vine tomatoes!!), lettuce instead of the promised baby spinach, and no bacon in sight. By the time they brought her a bowl of soggy, greasy bacon, her burger was no longer hot and I had finished my food, apart from one sad, cold egg, which was still waiting for the re-toasted toast to be returned to me. SUCH a disappointment from a previously wonderful cafe.

This place is cute little place. It has one if the best cofee. Lovely service
