LaManna is such a great gourmet supermarket. Super fresh fruit and veggies and an amazing selection of ready made meals and fancier foods that you won't find in the big supermarkets. Lots of staff here that are friendly and happy to help. They also have a large deli section opposite too with a huge variety of meats
I go there all the time for groceries and like their quality. But today I had a rather unpleasant experience. I was over charged for the turmeric and snow peas I bought. The receipt showed the turmeric weighed 0.24 kg and snow peas weighed close to 300kg. The total came to $18. But from experience I know they were not that heavy, especially the turmeric. I have left the shop by then but decided to return to confirm. Upon re weighing the turmeric, it was 60g instead of 240g, so the cashier gave me back $9 for it. She took the receipt off me very quickly as well. When arriving home, out of curiosity, I weighed the snow peas and it turned out to be 155g, half of what was shown on the receipt. It was $19.99/kg and I paid $6 for it. You work it out…I am a bit disappointed that La Manna is not more careful with the way they weigh products and charge. It needs to be more accurate and diligent. Unfortunately it left a bad feeling with me and I don’t know how often I will go back to shop there.
The fruit, vegetables and foreign snacks are of above amazing quality here. Perfect avocados, ripe cherries, fruits in good quality you won’t find anywhere else too! Their snacks are largely Italian and great too. The downside for quality is price. Every small little thing will cost you $10+ and for some items you can get equivalent in Woolworths next door. The service doesn’t care about you either and could put in some effort to be friendly and considerate… but it’s a one of a kind place for quality fruit and vegetables!
This review relates specifically to the deli shop.While the produce is great, the service generally is bad. The staff have no sense of urgency and will often choose to continue working on whatever it is they're doing instead of assisting customers even when there are several people waiting. When they they do eventually come there's not even an acknowledgement that you've been waiting. Today is not the first time I've walked away without being served after waiting way too long for no apparent reason. La mana, you've lost me for good as a customer.
Nice and clean environment, great range of fresh products. Found the world smallest tomato Tomberry. Similar size to a coffee bean. Good options for ppl who is looking for ingredients that are not easy to collect from chain of supermarkets.
Great food provisions store, plus fresh fruit vegetables and flowers. Lots of prepared foods and specialty lines
What’s with the rude service at the coffee area? Every visit, I’m met with a rude greeting: no “hello”, no “have a great day”, not “can I get you anything else?”….. and the coffee? Don’t get me started… but let’s just say… it gets worse with every visit.
Amazing staff and incredible produce. I highly recommend the baklava and assorted desserts as well as the cheese
My partner is always complaining that I spend too much money on "fancy fruit and veg" from LaManna. He may be right, but at least it is appreciated! I received this beautiful hamper in my weekly home delivery this week, incredible. I used to live in South Yarra and shopped here all the time. We then moved and I tried several other f&v shops but they didn't quite compare. I was thrilled when LaManna launched their app and offered home delivery. Always fresh and great quality. Thank you LaManna!
This is a truly fabulous shop. The fruit & vegetables and the wide assortment of other high quality goods are remarkable. The prices are very good. Nobody could possibly shop here and say that they didn't get value for money. Do yourself a favour and visit this place today!
