We had visitors from Sydney coming to visit and spend time with us between Xmas and New years and we could not find accommodation that brought the whole family together in Ballarat that was value for money, or either they were sold out, or not what we wanted. 

We booked in with Lake Wendouree Luxury Apartments  at their Grove street apartment, took our visitors to visit our beautiful Lake and surroundings and settled in front of the lovely fire place for Pizzas, laughs and reminiscing about good times. The next morning our visitors strolled around the lake, grabbed brekky at the local cafe, visited our beautiful botanical gardens and were full of praise for our beautiful city. (Ballarat even put on some beautiful weather). Our visitors were impressed and have vowed to come back soon. 

The apartment was clean, well maintained, close proximity to the lake and surrounds and value for money.  We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.

The appartement ( number 3) was a surprise from my brother and we were very dissapointed. It all looked lovely when we arrived but.....it had not been cleaned, our guess is that the bed linen was changed and that was it. The mugs had tea or coffee stains in them. When we were looking in the kitchen to find what we needed, the  window sill had dust and flies, there was a saucepan had seen better days and had dried food on the side. The furniture was very dusty. We pulled the couch out so we could plug in laptop and  it was obvious that it the area had not be cleaned for some time. Picked up a docket from behind the couch and it was from 6 months ago. We were told we would have a lake vieuw but our view from the window was another building. On the up side the beds were comfortable. We won't be back.

Beautiful unit easily accommodate a family of 5 with space to chill out for everyone.  The beds are very comfortable and the gas fireplace kept us nice and warm. My only gripe and it's very minor was the location of the microwave oven on top of the fridge. Apart from that the unit is centrally located to most places of interest and restaurants and cafés.
