Lovely bushland camping and picnic ground with good barbecue and ablution facilities. On campus kiosk restaurant. Fantastc swimming spot and beach in a fresh water lake used as drinking water catchment, therefore no dogs but nevertheless a great family outing in close proximity to Perth and suburbs. Golf nearby at the El Cabello golf course.

It's definitely a nice place to be out and about. But there's a risk of an amoeba when the weather is around 35 °C so be aware of it. Clean picnic areas, and camping sites and is just 50 min from Perth! You gotta check it out

A good place to stay one or two nights. Electric/non electric site split. Bring tents. Fresh water available. Toilets and showers on site. Grassed areas, picnic tables, cafe, playground, and a walking path surrounds the entire lake. Call Mundaring Shire for costs or look on their website. The cafe is expensive so bring your own food. Barbeques provided, please do not feed the ducks. A lovely lake and fantastic view especially at sunset/sunrise. Please do not consume alcohol here as kids around, also glass from the bottles get in the water will cut feet. People have drowned here so BE CAREFUL SWIMMING: no lifegaurd (swim at own risk and watch kids), safety bouy provided, melangocicall disease may occur on really hot days when water is warm. Canoe hire available with life jackets which is really fun! Not many shops around except servo up the road. Altogether a wonderful place to bring kids, family holiday, picnic, a day out, general swim, or to have a function.
