Positive- stunning view of the lake. Heaps of shade, no shower but with toilet, camp kitchen, views, teeming with native birds, good for all those who do fishing Dog friendly on leash. Can be booked online,$9a head, book your site, it’s only a small site so book and choose where you like to stay. No power. You check in with the care taker before you park. Looks like someone got crazy and bought the whole woolies supply of loo rolls Negative- I was going to say shower but there’s a big inviting stunning body of water in front of you to swim and maybe catch dinner while swimming No wifi. Good tv reception tho.
Communal kitchen is under repairs, no sink. Water in the camp is salty. Good point is it's shady, and on a hot day, breeze from the ocean cools while blown over the lake, so sitting on the bank isn't as bad as sitting in the camp. The lake is knee-deep, so it gets warm.
Great site, easy access to the safe, shallow water of the inlet, good size sites with a choice of sun and shade and a helpful caretaker. Amenities are basic but well maintained.
Was pretty busy for Australia Day, wasn't too rowdy which was good, very sandy so be prepared with long pegs, plenty of shady areas to pitch up. Water was warm and very busy with day travellers, dog loved it. Not too many issues with insects at this time of year. You can book online now too which is something I didn't know until a few days before we were about to leave, lots of people have said its first in first served but it's not. Great spot not far from Perth.
Great place for crabbing walking your dog watching the star toilet available nice place to take pictures too. Remember when you use the bathroom always clean up after . Do not leave your rubbish behind. Remember to wear coat or jacket when it’s winter or spring because the weather can get chilling. If it summer you can wear shirt and short. I recommend you to visit in the summer because you can camp at the camping area while hunting for the crabs the sunset is also really beautiful and it’s really good to take pictures too.
Lovely small place, Do not forget to bring fresh water to cook. There is a bbq and, clean toilets, no shower. Kids and Pet ftiendy as the Lake is not deeper then Knee deep. Famous for crabbing !!!
Lovely little gem. Great place for crabs. Nice open camp ground. Gravel sites, a little grass for tents.
We are amazed and fall in love with this place. Very quiet place and peaceful. We had a great stay here!
This place is suitable for activities with friends and family. The weather is good and there are big crabs.
I love this place. I come here often. Howard the care taker is caring and always up for a chat. I do wish that ppl that come here abide by the very simple rules. Keep Ur dog on a lead and to be quiet after 10. I don't know if there will be enough toilets in summer when the place is packed. All this won't stop me from returning though. Water is mostly always warm. Plenty of crabs to catch in crab season.
