Story

Lake Hawea is a classic kiwi holiday park. It has basic clean facilities with stunning lakefrontage looking out at Lake Hawea and the majestic mountains. We can't wait to meet you and help you see our surrounding area so come and stay. Catch a fish (free rods for hire), smoke a salmon, hire a mountain bike and go for an amazing ride on our nearby tracks. Chill out and enjoy the amazing views - watch the light change on the mountains. See you Soon!

A very sheltered campground on the edge of Lake Hawea. We camped a little back from the water which was safer for our little ones. The store had basic supplies & we were pleased to be able to use a communal kitchen with an oven, fridge & freezer.

We love the tent site. It’s the best if you tent near the lake. However, it’s a bit windy and sunny if you don’t have any shelters. Toilets and kitchens are clean. The utensils are not enough but they provide dish washing liquid which is a plus. And be prepared people may wake up very early for their trip.

Pretty epic lakeside location. Plenty of tent / camper sites sheltered in the trees, and some incredible lakeside spots if you can chance the wind and sun. Pretty dated facilities for the price you pay, but again can’t beat the location on the lake. Kitchen and showers were clean which is all you need!

Right on the Lake Hawea, has beautiful landscape and very nice surrounding. Facilities are very good. Kitchen is small but if there is no much occupancy you are okay.

Amazing, great views of the lake, clean & well laid out facilities with lots of tree shelter from the sun, was only meant to be a stop off point on our trip & ended up spending 3 nights there, absolutely will go back!!!
