This camp has the most sublime views of any I have stayed at. We stayed on a spacious site lakefront. We didn't use the facilities so I can't comment on those. We met people here who stay for the entire ski season, and others who have come back year after year and love the place. I can see why.
Really lovely campsite with amazing lake and mountains views. Great facilities with a huge kitchen and seating area, warm showers for a small fee, and clean toilets. There are lots of bugs about though so remember the bug spray!
We had an amazing two nights at Glendhu Bay Motor Camp. The sites are beautifully maintained, staff are delightful, and the outlook is second to none. We enjoyed stand up paddle boarding on the lake. We also used the camp as our base to hike up to Rob Roy Glacier - Unmissable must do!
Beautiful place on the lake with great views. Has all the facilities you need, clean showers, good laundry facilities. A little bit sad that the best spots on the shore are being used as a boat ramp instead of making it a place to camp on.
Stayed at Glendhu Bay Camp Ground last week with a group of students and really appreciated the friendly, helpful and accommodating staff! A Huge thank you to the lovely handyman worker sorry I forget your name who fixed both our vans after the proctective covers underneath had partly fallen off due to the bumpy road drive up Mt Aspiring road. Nothing is a problem to these people and they really go out of their way to be helpful. Thank you so much! We will be back
Great place to stay, well recommend by a helpful local. Friendly down to earth management. This is not 5 star facility but everything is there and the view of mountains, position on the lake edge makes it 10 star!
The surrounding is stunning, but that really the only great part about this campground. The facilities urgently need an update, toilets and showers were outdated and stinky. Most public places are better equipped than this campground.
Visiting at busy Christmas times. The most crowded and close packed campground I have seen. Everyone seemed to be having the best time. Lake Wanaka providing most of the daytime fun.
Amazing facilities, fantastic hosts, beautiful surroundings and fabulous lake and walks right there!
Hands down one of the most beautiful camping spots in nz. I swear the lake is always mirror flat whenever we are there. Lovely staff lovely location!
