Great unpretentious Pizza, looking after hungry families since 1980-something. Take a trip down memory lane, get a super special & a litre of house wine and watch the world go by on Keillor Road from the street dining. Great customer service, fast & attentive service, love it.
Food was average but the whole experience was brought down by the exceptionally poor service. I hope management reviews this and thinks more about their customers’ experiences.nnWe were the only table in the restaurant but the service was sloppy. The waitress kept putting her finger in our food every time she served a dish. The waitress was also very slow at responding to simple questions.nnThe restaurant here also needs to fix their fries/chips policy. We had requested for our steak and parma to come with a side of chips. We received the thick cut chips and thought that was the standard. We then pointed to the chips asked for another bowl. But then out came french fries which did not taste as good. When we queried this, the waitress rudely told us it was the standard to serve French fries unless otherwise asked? This made no sense since this was our first time in this restaurant and they initially served us thick cut chips with our main meals. Nowhere in the menu did they specify that fries were standard. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, they simple said ‘oops my bad’ and we were still charged for the replacement.
Had a delicious half & half pizza here on Saturday with my friend . I thought the pizza dough was delicious & toppings so flavourful & we demolished the whole lot . Was greeted by friendly manager , nice service, from other staff , cold water brought straight to table . I was impressed. Thanks you
Poor. Very poor. I've been enjoying the La Porchetta Original since the 1980s when we used to to go the original La Porchetta in Rathdowne Street. In those days the Original was full of toppings right to the edge. It had tons of cheese, rich tomato sauce and heaps of spicy sausage. This was rubbish. Half of the pizza was crust. This is just a way of saving money. Fill the pizza with crust and you don't have to pay for toppings. Never again. Oldies, take a look at that photo and tell me whether that looks like the La Porchetta Original that we knew and loved.
