Fantastic array of hot or cold mezzes. We had the trio of dips, which was served with the fluffiest bread. The cacik dip was nicely refreshing. Had the grilled halloumi for a hot mezze. You can never say no to grilled cheese right?nnEverything on the mixed grill was cooked to perfection. Opted for the carrot dip with $2 extra.nnThe adana was outstanding! Loved how juicy the lamb was, paired with the lavash and grilled peppers. The rice was fluffy and buttery.nnThe surprising underdog was the Ali Nazik, a stir-fry of lamb, eggplant, tomato, and peppers served atop garlicky yoghurt. I was meant to order the split belly eggplant dish but so glad I ordered this instead! The dish was so moreish that you just cannot stop dipping your bread in it for the next bite!nnOur server was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely return if we are in the area.
Great spot, the smell is almost irresistible! - Court yard at the back so good for older kids. Reasonable priced for the portion size! Food is divine!!! Recommended! - mixed plater for 2
The staff recommended we try their signature Fides Gozleme and the Mixed Grill to sample a bit of everything on our first visit — and it was a great intro!nnThe meats in the mixed grill were tender and juicy, and the Gozleme was light and satisfying. What surprised us most was how we felt afterwards — full but not heavy, which isn’t always the case with grilled meat. The flavours were balanced without being too strong.nnA thoughtful and well-prepared meal that left us feeling good.
Tonight was our second night in a row dining here, it was so good we had to come back for more. Incredible food, warm atmosphere, and truly lovely and attentive staff! Fides Bar and Grill is a family-run gem that’s been serving Melbourne with heart for 11 years – congratulations on the milestone! The dishes are fresh and full of flavour, and the Turkish coffee is a must-try. You feel the love in everything they do. Highly recommend!nThank you Sarah and staff for your warm hospitality. Looking forward to bringing our whole family back next time.
