I quite like Kyo Tea house's ice cream. My favourite flavor is the milk one. The ice cream is particularly creamy. Not too sweet. A lot of matcha desserts, which they do well. But its good they have quality non-matcha options. Worth visiting.
I fell in love with this green tea flavoured beverage and ice creams. Kyo Tea House is the best one in the city. They are specialised on everything Matcha Green Tea. Their Matcha ice cream with extreme matcha flavour is so intense. It is not a typical creamy matcha latte. Anyone who is serious about Macha would need to give it a go. Apart from ice cream, their soft serve is also very nice. You get to choose 3 different waffle cones. Two of them came with tea flavours. The service is very friendly and efficient. This is our go to place for a quick ice cream run after dinner. The only problem, the one in CBD closes too early
An amazing selection of Japanese desserts! The Premium Matcha and Black Sesame icecream is a definite must try - one of the best I've tasted so far! Service staff are always welcoming and friendly. Seating is limited during peak periods.
Insta: melbfoodie_mark YT: MelbFoodieMark ** Check them out for more food reviews in Melbourne! - This place has been on my Must-Visit list for a long time and I finally got a chance to visit! Conveniently located inside Emporium : Had warm Matcha Koicha Latte which was incredibly soothing - very strong matcha flavour that isn't too sweet nor bitter. Highly recommend
Kyo Tea House is a dessert cafe located in Melbourne Emporium. The cafe serves a wide variety of dessert including drinks, gelato, soft serve, cakes, etc. The flavours of gelato include hoijicha, azuki, yuzu, different intensities of matcha, etc. The dessert served is very delicious. Matcha lovers should not miss this dessert cafe. Do check out my instagram @ roshan_arjun for more feeds. Cheers!
Spent about 2 hours at this place Sunday arvo and it was always bustling with people from different backgrounds and ages. Not an expert on what Japanese green tea should taste like but I know for sure, the flavours are bold and suit my taste buds. If this is what real Japanese sweet dessert tastes like, I'd be more than happy to leave on a flight tonight. Had the green tea float which was very nice. Also had 2 ice crem scoops: gen mai cha and sesame. I personally recommend their ice cream. Super delicious!
I ate the houjicha & matcha soft serve plus their daily special dessert it was so tasty!! This is the best matcha dessert shop I've come across so far in Melbourne mmm. The matcha taste is just right not too sweet!
Relaxing green tea experience ! Nice if you need to sit and take a breather. A little over priced for the atmosphere ... they need to get new trays, etc.. it was chipped. You are definitely paying for presentation. Not too sweet and refreshing.
I’m not a big fan of green tea but was invited here to meet up with a friend. Unfortunately I can’t comment on the quality of the green tea desserts as a result. However, I ordered one of their few non-green tea desserts.... and OMG. I’ve never thought of putting croissants and ice cream together before, but the croissant was warm and freshly toasted, which paired excellently with the rest of the dessert. No regrets. Do keep in mind the menus they hand out don’t have the full offerings on them, the full menu can be viewed outside the store and by the counter. There’s not a ton of seating here so best suited for small groups.
This little dessert restaurant caught my eye with its creativity and careful preparation of each dish. I was truly mesmerised by the menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful and although the menu was a little overpriced, it tasted just as good as it looked.
