Certainly a popular place. One of my ride partners brought me here and suggested this place. Seating is not spacious but gets you by. Order by QR code. Wait times good. I went with the Katsu chicken curry and enjoyed it. The Japanese fries, not so. Not for me. We had a party of four and all enjoyed.
A little small restaurant with healthy and balanced Japanese home cook food. If not mistaken, this is our 4th time eating here for our dinner and our orders are always the same. It’s normal as usual, the food were healthy and tasty with a bowl of fresh brown rice! And please don’t expect wow service from them. Sometimes they are good and sometimes no. It depends on their mood.
I felt like I was sitting in the Japanese cafe somewhere in Tokyo when I came here. All things in the cafe give such a Japanese vibes, music also a decoration which I found it very cute. Food was delicious too. Wanted to order a big set but it was sold out. But the curry tonkatsu that I had was also really nice. My partner got salmon which he said it was nice too. Although, matcha cake was a bit too sweet and crumbly for me.
Cosy Japanese cafe offering a variety of Japanese style brunch meals. I visited on a Sunday winter morning at 11am expecting queues at the door but thankfully it was chill! Only a few tables inside but they also have outdoor seating. Our group was immediately greeted by a friendly waitress and we were sat at a table inside. You order your meals and drinks via barcode where you can view the entire menu. Unfortunately the Japanese cheesecake was sold out which I really wanted to try but I was happy to at least order the breakfast platter which I was most excited about and it did not disappoint! Every part of the plate was delicious. My favourite was the salmon with egg and potato mash and the tempura prawn with mushroom rice. Soba noodles were fresh and went well with everything also. My friends ordered the Chicken katsu curry and the sando. The curry with rice was also exceptionally good however the sandwich wasn’t very tasty as the mustard flavour was quite overpowering. Coffee is good and if you order a large it comes in a big ceramic cup. Very aesthetic. The interior itself is cute and quirky. Staff were very happy and friendly. One waiter asked if we were warm enough because we sat closest to the door and offered to shut it. We weren’t fussed but we found it very nice of him to ask. I will happily visit again and hope to try the cheesecake with a matcha latte maybe!
Second time visit and don't mind visiting again. Food was great however with limited options, this could possibly be too early when I was there. Also, I often seen many more options such as onigiri, cakes and etc however not available / can't be seen when I was there the last two visit.
It was a FEAST on a rainy cold night. My favourite picks were the Katsu Chicken sandwich, Omusoba, and the matcha ganache cake. We also ordered Soba noodles and Ebi sandwich alongside edamame and Japanese cheesecake. The staff was super friendly and they stayed open so we could finish as we were the last bunch of customers before closing. I highly recommend the Chicken Katsu and Matcha Ganache cake. Excited to go back and try rest of the menu.
Food was good, we ordered the curry and the salmon don. The fish was … surprisingly small for $20 dish. I really hated that brown rice on the dish. It would have been 4 stars if the rice was white, there should be an option, it really does ruin the great flavours. Highly recommend the fried chicken, one of the best I’ve had
Very very popular place with very very limited seatings. Having both indoor and outdoor seatings is convenient but depending on where you choose to sit, wait time might vary between 20-60mins, especially if you are a group of more than 2. Food wise is great, decent pricing and very generous serve too. I'd recommend to go on weekdays than weekends if you don't like the crowd.
A cosy little place serving Japanese brunchies. The chicken ochazuke was definitely 5 stars! It was very comforting and all seasonings were just on point! The katsu sando was just not bad. The yuzu tart was divine with such a perfect sweetness. The service was just average. Houjicha both hot and iced they both were too sweet for my liking and too light - not my cup of tea unfortunately. I'd prefer less sweet and more tea power.
This cafe is a little gem! Don’t be fooled by its location or how unassuming it looks. The magic coffee I ordered was really aromatic. For breakfast we ordered beef teritama don, chicken katsu curry and a slice of matcha green tea ganache cake. The timing, service, taste and presentation were excellent. Highly recommended.
