Tried this newly opened Malaysian-style eatery in Doncaster East and had a great dine-in experience. The space is clean and comfortable, with plenty of parking right at the front.nnWe ordered the fried calamari $15.50, which was crispy and not oily, and the cereal prawns $29.50 — the prawns were very fresh and generously sized. The braised pork knuckle rice set $13.50 was great value, and the char kway teow $15.50 had good wok flavour.nnThey also offer several congee options for just $10 and three drinks priced at only $2, which is hard to find these days. Overall, solid flavours, good portions, and very reasonable prices. Would come back again!

We ordered Deluxe Pork Noodle, Offal Pork Noodle Dry, fried calamari, Yong Zhou fried rice, Pork congee, Sarawak kolo mee and Sarawak Laksa. The dishes were delicious and flavourful. Highly recommend the pork noodle, Sarawak Laksa and kolo mee as the cooking style is authentic. The yong Zhou fried rice has a wonderful “wok hei”a Malaysian way of saying… fantastic stir fry skillnThe taste brought us back to Malaysia and we must compliment the chef. nWould definitely come back when we visit Melbourne. Order a quick lunch for my son and myself. Quite disappointed with the quality of the food. Chaoguidiao is basically burn rice noodle with bitter taste. As I order a pork and prawn style, there is no pork found, only two paper-thin sausage slices and tiny pork Crackles on the top. Prawns are not even clean inside.nAs this place is always promoted as good for value, I'd rather spending a few dollars more elsewhere to get a decent one.
I was super excited to finally try their AUD$10 Hainan chicken rice & traditional kolo mee. Both are decent portions and quite filling. The Hainan chicken rice was well worth it, the kolo mee was ok, though people said it's very authentic. Nice and spacious environment. Will visit again.nn2nd visit we had Sarawak laksa, pork noodle soup, pork & century egg congee fresh batch every 2 days, vinegar pork trotter with rice & fish head noodle soups. I don't think either of the noodle dishes & congee were great. The pork trotter was quite yum for $10 though. Will stick with rice dishes next time!
