Has been cleaned up recently and is beautiful with crystal clear waters. Recommend if you're after somewhere less busy and away from the crowd.
I took my dog to the beach.she swimmed and played with ball for an hour.This beach is one of the best place for your pets.Off leash allowing time will be change depends on the season.
A great beach to relax, swim, or picnic. It is a wide and sandy beach with plenty of adjacent grass and shade trees to get a break from the sun, if you need it, or to relax in a blanket for a picnic. There is a public restroom easily accessible in the center of the beach. A few restaurants and bars are located on adjacent Tamaki Drive. There is plenty of free roadside parking. We especially like going down to this beach area for long, relaxing walks along the beach and the ocean on the wide walkways. A lot of people bike along these paved walkways, too, and families bring their kids with their bikes or strollers to enjoy the time together outdoors. You can walk from here along the walkway about 10 or 15 minutes to Mission Bay beach, if you would like a bigger selection of restaurants, bars, carry out, and ice cream/snacks, etc. Definitely one of our favorite beaches in the Auckland area!
A place to go to during weekend especially on lockdown.

Great beach with good swimming plus or minus three hours from the high tide time when it is usually busiest. During the daylight savings months there is an ocean swim series there at 6:00 p.m. every Thursday night which crowds the beach out; other than that it is not too busy due to the lack of a big parking area. The changing facilities are well kept and regularly maintained. Kohimarama Beach is one of the more consistently clean water quality beaches in Auckland but always check on safeswim.org.nz before going if it has been raining heavily in the 24 hours before you want to swim.
Nice beach wish I could go more often
This beach had a large sandy surface to stay, but there are stones at the entrance water, when you start walking in the shallow water of the beach, the beach should have soft sand even in the beach water when walking to not feel pain on your feet when you walk through the water.
