Nasi lemak was nice, the curry was flavorful, the char kwe tiao was delicious can taste the wok hei, and the wah tan hor was nice as well. The kaya toast was generously buttered with kaya served with poached eggs, it’s delicious.
This restaurant is cozy and comfy.nVery busy on the weekend or at lunch time.nStaff is friendly.nPay at the counter when order food.nThe Char kway teow is really good, big portion and tasty. I would come back for this.nThe Assam laksa has a very strong taste of the fish sauce which I found it's hard to eat if you are not a fan of fish sauce. However, as I love the fish sauce and I can handle it so it was very good for me. I heard staff said it is one of the authentic and signature of the restaurant, but really consider when order.nDrink: the famous popular Teh tarik will fit perfectly after the tasty meal.nnWill come back to this place to try other food. Also for the Char kway teow and the teh tarik. I also want to try the beef rendang with coconut rice.
Very friendly owners. We had nasi Lemak with tumeric fried chicken, Kaya toast & kopi, curry puff, siew pau, lobak I quite like it and Ayam balik pandan not overly sweet, everything was good and tasted homey.
Won’t have taken it as a Malaysian/ Indonesian eatery if not mentioned by the ‘Cari Makan’ in Facebook, despite driving by for years! So many Malaysian eateries to choose from at Eastern corridor of Melbourne nowadays! The ‘wat tan for’ or Sa hor fan has sufficient ‘yit heh’, making the rice noodle so yummy as the way I like it! Give this 4/5! Teh tarik is nice. The ckt was nothing to shout about yet. I think they made a mistake with our Tumeric chicken nasi lemak as the flavour didn’t come through! More like an eatery shop atmosphere. Good addition to the Malaysian cuisine though. We will be back to try their other offerings as there are lots of parkings around!
We ordered the char kway tow and the nasi lemak bungus with fried chicken.nThe char kway tow was very delicious and made fresh, however the nasi lemak was abit disappointing. The fried chicken was not fresh, but dry and not spicy at all, while the rice was not fragrant - it should be made with coconut milk and pandan leaf. I couldn't taste these flavours in the rice at all. The teh tarik was good and not overly sweet.nnThe two dishes and drink was sbout $39 and we went there around 12pm on a Wednesday, so before lunch rush...so I'm surpised the nasi lemak wasn't fresher - given this cafe is within a suburban business district.
