I had my car serviced there before Christmas at which time they told me they needed to replace my tyres, they also said they needed to replace a headlight bulb (I can not confirm that this actually needed changing as I would’ve noticed it out) the cost ended up being nearly $80 more then quoted and they quoted $620 on replacing my tyres, I ended getting my tyres replaced cheaper with better quality tyres elsewhere. When I picked it up from the service they said the radiator overflow was a bit low but should be ok?   Then 4 weeks later my car overheated so I took it back and they checked it and said I needed a new water pump ... I was a bit annoyed as the overflow is there for a reason so if it’s low there’s obviously a problem, I questioned this and they said it should be ok but I could bring it back at later date to go over... now another 4 weeks later my car has overheated again.. instead I called a mobile mechanic who looked at it and has since stated that he doubts I even needed a new water pump and it was a loose O- ring and 2 clamps on the radiator hose that were worn.. $15 for parts in total ... thank for taking me for a ride Kmart Auto!

I took my car in to get a second opinion about a tappet cover oil leak and a leaking power steering pump.  The owner popped it up on the hoist for me and took a quick look confirming what the first Mechanic had said.

 I appreciated his time and expertise without making me pay as it only took about ten minutes. I just wanted to make sure I was given the right diagnosis the first time.

 I will Go back to this place now that I have another vehicle. Because he took the time to show me where the leaks were when the other Mechanic didn't want to take the time to show me for myself. It can be daunting being a woman or an old person or anyone who knows very Little about Auto mechanics.  A trustworthy Mechanic is rare.

Hi all, I would avoid this shop as I feel I have been taken for a ride. Here's how it went down, I went in there for a simple starter motor replacement, starter motors for my make and model cost $170 online which I was charged $250 fair enough they can add over heads for this. But I got a call later that day explaining there was some electrical fault which they needed a auto electrician to find, ok, fine hire a third party auto electrician. The problem started when I went in to pay. The manager handed me the shops invoice I looked it over and then asked to see the auto electricians invoice which he had under the desk. After a heated discussion insisting that I have a right to see the invoice and the fact that he had no reason not to show me. I left paying for a service that I had no proof of what was done. There was no reason for this and I feel they may have charged me for something that never happened which was a extra $200. I only asked to see a invoice which he had and was refused with no good reason. So be careful if you take your car there as this rang alarm bells with me. And yes I was dealing with the shops manager.                               IF THE MANAGER READS THIS PLEASE CONTACT ME AND PROVIDE ME WITH THE INVOICE AND I WILL BE HAPPY TO TAKE THIS COMMENT DOWN.

We have been taking our cars here for years now and they have often gone above and beyond. Just yesterday Steve gave my adult daughter bad news about her lemon car and good advice on not trying to fix it and how to go about getting a new one. They have also helped out in the past with advice on car purchases and repairs with my daughters cars.
I trust these guys.
