The recent change to Kmart’s exchange policy is a joke. They will no longer accept an exchange without a receipt, which makes it impossible to exchange items that have been gifted.nnCompletely understandable that a refund can’t be given with no proof of purchase, but not being able to exchange brand new current stock Kmart branded clothing with tags on makes it incredibly difficult for parents who have been gifted the wrong size clothing for their children. Kmart has built its whole brand on families, now they’re imposing policies that are completely not family friendly.nnThe staff member at the so-called “customer service” desk who informed me of the new policy was incredibly rude to boot.nnI won’t be shopping at Kmart any more as I’m not interested in supporting a company that is so inflexible and uncompromising to their customers. It will be interested to see how many other families turn their backs on Kmart.
I was in this morning a bit before 10am at the Returns/Click & Collect desk and I wanted to say the staff need a medal. The team member who served me, quickly put my purchases through and was able to give me the details needed to let me cancel a Click & Collect order. When she explained that she couldn't cancel it for me she kind of backed off and cringed a bit, which I thought a bit odd, but then I totally got it when the next customer started being served by the other team member.nI am so sorry you had to deal with that customer whose partner quickly ushered their children away to another part of the store because she knew what was coming. I'm also really sorry the rules of customer service prevent you from telling customers that when they purchase the wrong product but don't realise until after they have made it unsaleable, they aren't entitled to a refund and should take it for the learning experience that it is. It definitely doesn't entitle them to inflict one of the most insidious forms of quiet aggression I've ever seen on the store employee - it made me uncomfortable as a silent observer, so I feel really bad for that staff member.nI'm sorry customers don't realise that aggression comes in many forms, many of which don't involve hand gestures and raised voices.nPlease keep up the good work. I, at least, have noticed.
Purchased a vacuum cleaner yesterday and have just opened it to find the head clearly very used. It’s scratched, rusty and covered in hair… I have been trying to get through to customer service but have been told they are only dealing with online purchases.
Visit them firstly before you go anywhere else, if you want value for money whoever it may be for either yourself or your family or as a gift for someone special to you. You will pleasantly be surprised perhaps even shocked. Great place to save money, and isn't that what's it's all about, unless of course you are a millionaire then it really wouldn't matter that much to you right? Visit them firstly before you decide to go anywhere else, they have countless homeware products and clothing. And it's even better when the items are on sale which they have quite regularly, which means you'll save even more. Don't take my word for it, go and see for yourself.Be a savvy shopper like me, the money you save can most likely buy you a coffee or perhaps even some lunch.nGood luck and all the best.
I rarely go to Kmart - mistake!!! Oh my goodness they have nearly everything. Great for fast fashion, budget cosmetics, accessories, menswear, kids clothes etc etc and anything you could possibly want for a kids party. Kmart have very obviously worked out who their market is and cater accordingly. Though the books section is pretty bad, actually more of an afterthought but bibliophiles are not who Kmart is targeting. 7.4 yes think K Mart is still best for kids party supplies. However what I really dislike is the checkouts in the middle of the store. I guess there must have been a business case for this but if it was so great why haven't their competitors adopted it?
