Story

Klone Hair's haircutters are award-winning hairdressers. Co-owner, Karl Radel, has himself amassed more than 100 local and national awards including NZ Senior Cutting Champion and NZARH 2006 NZ Supreme Hairdresser of the Year. Karl's wife and business co-owner, Danelle, is equally talented. Being a national champion at 16 and first south island winner of the Wella YPS NZ champion title. A title that Rachelle Scott of Klone Hair would claim herself in 2006.

Klone encourages its large staff to enter awards to hone their skills and ensure they are a cut above the competition.

Strong emphasis is placed on making customers feel special. Everyone leaves the salon looking good and feeling great.

Just had my first proper hairdresser appointment at Klone in about ten years. I could not be happier with the results. Eden used the Inspiration pics I had and followed them perfectly! When I first went to Tamny Ung, my hair was a mongrel colour mix as I tried to battle the 'grey'. Tammy really listens, which is Gold! She worked through a transition to my natural silver with some colour added back and I couldn't be happier. Her cuts are superb and make any transition relatively painless. I also quite enjoy the admiring comments I get relatively often. Great people, great coffee, great head massage. A blissful 'me time'.
Thanks to Eden for your amazing appointment with my daughter today. A teenager wanting to find her style found it with you today. She's excited with her new look and by the end of the day had received compliments from a wide range of people. It's actually Kelly writing this review: I went in wanting years of black dye stripped and replaced with a radically different colour; Steph listened to my own experiences and concerns with my hair at length and explained the risks/benefits before we went ahead. Although busy, the salon was clean and well-maintained, the staff were very courteous and the overall vibe was positive, unlike some other places I've regretted visiting. To cut a long story short, my hair turned out great, the price was mid-range reasonable and I would definitely go back.
Klone is a fabulous salon. Staff are incredible. Customer focused. Welcoming and highly skilled. Highly recommend.
Love Karl and the team, everyone is very friendly. The hair styling and coloring are amazing. Never had a bad experience in 15 years.
Karl has an amazing ability to take frizzy, unruly hair and turn it into a sleek, wavy 'do' that's perfect for an evening event or a special occasion! He made my hair look fabulous, I was thrilled to bits, and thought the money which was less than I expected well spent. You must go and see Karl next time you need fabulous hair for a special event.
