Despite the bad reviews, I went there when I settled in NZ as it was the closest for me and I was pleasantly surprised as the staff I met was rather professional (and even friendly for a bank). Set up of accounts and other service was really fast and they're not pushing to buy more services and insurances than you actually need.

Worst customer service of all Kiwibanks I've used. So bad I ended up withdrawing all my money as I don't ever want to be involved in the circus they have at Bush Inn or Kiwibank again. In the past I have often found two staff members unhelpful but yesterday it was beyond pathetic. No wonder Kiwibank isn't doing well. If thats how your staff treat your customers you will lose them. Full credit to Bonnie who remained calm and apologised for all the numerous errors on the day :(
