I was in the country for short time so I decided to get a pre-paid SIM card for internet. Ran into this store. The guy behind the counter told me he was new and didn't know how to activate the SIM cardred light. I got it anyway and tried to activate it. After 3 days of arguments with the provider and several hours on the phone, turns out they sold me an outdated SIM card6 years!!!. I'll probably never have the chance to shop from there, but even if I can, I'll keep distance from the them.
I came into this store last week just after Easter 2022 to purchase a cold refreshing drink, I purchased a can of milo, after taking two sips of the drink I discovered a thick consistency with solid chucks and foul taste. I looked at the use by date to find it had expired in September 2021. I approached the clerk to request a refund, he was annoyed and complained that I had already drank some before handing me $2.95 change. The clerk proceeded to look at the use by dates of the rest of the cans. Two days later my colleague went in to the store to discover that these cans that had expired 8+ months prior to to the date discovered and are unfit for consumption are still being sold albeit at a discounted price. Absolutely disgusting, they should be reported.
The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. I got to the till and handed my items to the member of staff. He scanned them all and told me the total price. I then kindly asked if I could have a bag but he then sighed, shrugged and rolled his eyes saying “I’ve just finished scanning”. I was shocked at his response and apologised stating that I was trying to give him more money and i didn’t realise it was such a big deal. He then refused to serve me. I only wanted some snacks for a whale watching tour! If everything is going to be that overpriced, at least make sure the customer service is good. Avoid at all costs.
The store is nice and good collection of chips and chocolates. I wish there was prices displayed on the shelf. Bit expensive but considering in the city it is not bad at all.. the guy at the till was courteous enough to show us what we asked for,, in fact he helped us to find the nearest train station. Great service
Horrible experience. Store is very dirty and unhygeine. Its unsafe to purchase food items from that store. The prices were sky rocketing and one good example is a pack of chewse balls for $7.50, what in heel? The staff looked like an Indian or Pakistani guy at the counter is very rude and asked us to go back and place the unwanted items back ourselves. When l reminded him that it is his job to do so, he was like, "what do u expect from a convenient store?". Totally not recommended.
Extremely rude everytime I go in there. Last visit I bought a packet of cigarettes and a lighter and tapped to pay. Much later in the day I realised that he'd charged me 49 dollars. That's a good 15 dollars more than the most expensive convenience store. Given his attitude of general surliness and that the till doesn't display the price and he pointed the EFTPOS machine at me to tap so I couldn't see the screen, I'm pretty sure it was intentional. Never going back. Next door is another convenience store I've used several times, they are always polite and friendly, have the stock you want and are much cheaper. Avoid these dodgy people.
If you don't wish to know the prices of the items you purchased, and you enjoy being almost ignored when you come in and buy something, then this is the place for you! The times I've been there there are no prices.on anything other than the odd sale item. The guys behind the counter just could not care less.
I went to this shop, bought a bubble gum and asked the price of vitamin gummies. The guy at the shop told 10$ odd for the gummies, I said, just the bubble gum. He said what do you expect, 1$.. I said sarcastically 50 cents. He said I don't want to serve, you can't buy here.
If I could give it less stars I would. We paid $26 for 2 sanitary pads. One of which was classified as a ‘temporary item’ for $17 … Would highly not recommend
DO NOT BUY from here. Walk the extra couple of minutes and go to Coles or Woolworths! Purchased 7 items and was charged for 8. This was in addition to me picking up two overpriced items while punching in till. One off? I don't think so! There are no prices on shelf nor or the items so you wouldn't normally have a clue what you re paying. Fair enough your prices are double the supermarket's but this is plain stealing and worst of all from unknowing Tourists. Just disgusting.
