Daiso stores have some of the items that are not available elsewhere, so when in Sydney we’d stop and have a browse here. In April 2022 all items were $3.10 each except those with a different price tag. This one is located one level down, the entrance is off 501 George Street or Kent Street.
This Daiso store is located inside The Galleries in Townhall. I prefer this store over other Daiso due to the spacious size. The staff are nice. There are a good range of food and everyday products, though sometimes the stock is not updated quick enough.
I love Daiso! This classic '100 yen shop' is one of Japan's greatest exports, right up there with Japanese food and Japanese people! Every time I visit Daiso, I find great quality stuff that makes my life easier. Very highly recommended!
Daison is really good place to shop. The vast variety of products to choose from. Stationery, kitchen items, cooking wares, gifts, toiletries, containers etc. The designs are cute and the price is affordable. Staff are friendly and very accommodating! would come back
Nice but always too crowded and busy. I've never been here when the line for the checkout has an extended halfway down the aisle. It's also combined with this Asian grocery thing next door but it all has to line up back at the same place to pay for things.
Some of the nicest Japanese food I've had outside of Japan. The oysters were out of this world, and the pancake was delightful. Everything was priced very reasonably, and I would recommend it.
Very disappointing. Very haphazardly put together. Aisles so close together and stuff on the floor. Very claustrophobic. No Hello Kitty merchandise. Not pleasant to be inside this store.
Great place to shop around. Plenty of various goods to choose
I walked in not looking for anything in particular but they have some really good nifty things that only Japan could think off. They have everything from containers to makeup to kitchen cutlery to toiletries to stationary. Quite reasonably priced. If you're looking for some handy things or to make things look more friendly around the house, you just might find that at Daiso. I walked out with a couple of lunch boxes, backpack, slippers, lint roller and those refillable bottles for shampoo /body wash. You can spend a good hour in there just looking. Haha
I saw a sign at the register that said “Credit and EFTPOS $5.60 minimum American Express not accepted” so wandered the whole store and ended up buying 3 Daiso items: a small lock for luggage or a locker, a bamboo kitchen spatula, and a sunglasses case fake leather. Each cost AUD$2.80! Plenty of great quality items in the store. I’ve been to Daiso stores in Japan and Taiwan, and I would say this selection is comparable. Tons of boba tea shops and Asian food + dessert shops outside and on the other floors of Regent Place so I would suggest this location to check out if you’re looking to eat too.
