If you’re ever curious what it would taste like to bite into fossilized poultry, may I recommend the KFC in Mooroolbark?nI ordered a three-piece box, expecting—oh, I don’t know—chicken that vaguely resembles food. Instead, I received something that looked and tasted like it had been abandoned during the Cretaceous period. Dry? Absolutely. Burnt? Without question. Old? Let’s just say if this chicken had a passport, it would have stamps from several geological eras. Honestly, it looked like it had been sitting there so long it probably pays rent.nThe pieces were so overcooked and shriveled that I’m not convinced they didn’t come from some prehistoric bird. A pterodactyl would be offended by the comparison, but that’s genuinely what came to mind as I tried to identify what was on my tray.nThis was, hands down, the worst KFC I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten enough KFC to qualify as a semi-professional. I’ll be adding photos because words simply cannot capture the archaeological tragedy I was served.nIf you’re hungry, go literally anywhere else. If you’re studying ancient artifacts, though—this might be your place.
Avoid this KFC, lost count of how many times I've ordered from drive through only to get home and find part of the meal missing or poor quality food. Last order was a bahn mi, photos shows just how little they care about customer satisfaction.nnMade a complaint via KFC support, no response..
Soggy, bland, and disappointing.nChips were soft, limp, and completely flavourless — no salt at all. Paid full price for a side that felt like a soggy afterthought. Total rip-off. KFC used to be better than this.
I'm sure this will get deleted but owner of this branch should retrain their employees how to cook. I normally do not complain but instead of chicken, meat looks like it came from a pigeon. Not only the chicken teeny-tiny small legs and wings part given to me is as small as the bamboo condiment teaspoon, but was burnt and oily. My husband had to buy another food just to feel satisfied. Based on other people's similar reviews, food quality is consistently bad.
This place is about as middle ground as you can get, food will either be great or terrible and it's usually a gamble to see what has been left out and forgotten. If you like salt on your chips ask for extra otherwise it's almost non existent. Staff are generally pretty good though and are always friendly so can't be too mad. I will admit they have gotten better in the last 12 months or so, it used to be much worse.
