DRIVE THROW What can I say, I have been to this KFC many of times and always think it's going to get better, I feel this place must be the worst in the UK. Service is slow, staff no please or thank you while taking payment, chips cold due to other food not ready, they give you coleslaw but nothing to eat it with, no napkins or Salt in the bag, didn't even ask you so you already new it wasn't in the bag! Car park bins overflowing. Overpriced due to the above I say. Not sure if Penrith is independently ran or nationally ran but they need to look at the business and get some management in to sort the young inexperienced staff.
Went to kfc had to go through the drive thru as restaurant shut. Went to give my order and the lad working just disappeared as he couldn't use the discount from the app, he then came back with what looked to be the manager who took the order. Asked for a tower box meal along with a zinger stack box meal and a couple more meals for the kids. Asked for different Pepsi drinks none marked to say the different one when I asked the girl who handed them and she just looked blank and said she didn't know. She then handed us the meals and I asked for the receipt, she said the receipt was in the bag. We pulled away and left, the queue to go back through was huge. When we looked at the meals the zinger stack was in a bag and missing the items to make it a box meal, the tower burger was in a vegan box and was a piece of chicken with a bit of lettuce in a bun and there was no receipt. Rang the shop and took ages to get through, once I did I explained to the staff who then said it was a tower burger but in a different box I told her there was no hash brown or cheese. She asked if I had the receipt and I said I wasn't given one she then said she would get her manager on the phone after 30 seconds the phone was put down. My husband got through to someone who said they couldn't do anything without the receipt and we should have checked the order before we left the window.
Drive thru is meant to be open till 21:00, closed at 19:45 - doors closed at 19:45 and meant to be open till 8. Ridiculous service, staff members sitting outside talking while around 6 customers waiting.
Feel like this is a waste of time as all previous reviews sun this place up. Gravy missing from self service till so had to ask to correct it after. Order took 20 mins, to be told they had no dips and no beans. They forgot to swap the side for the gravy. Sat down, realised they had missed one of the pieces of chicken, was told they have no chicken on the bone and offered 2 fillets, then told no fillets so offered small popcorn chicken. All in all took 55 mins to get out of there, could have gone for a sit down meal in that time.
Drive thru only due to covid restrictions. small queue 2 cars ahead at 5pm on a Sunday. Food was excellent. staff polite and all wearing appropriate ppe etc. Will deffo return
It was dirty, lacked coffee, tomato ketchup, soap, chips neither crispy or warm, and the chicken was dried out. The toilets were too small to allow two people in. The bins inside and outside were overflowing. Horrible place.
Fast food it is not!!! Came in and it was quiet! Still took almost 40 minutes to even get our food, yet the drive through seemed to be going round no problem Place was dirty - especially the toilets! Staff seemed incompetent. Ended up changing our order to take out because of how long things were taking! My expectations for a KFC really aren’t high, but this was something else!! Avoid unless you have a day to spend here!!
Not a nice experience. Took forever to get served in a quiet restaurant. Then it took forever to actually get our order. Went to sit down and the table and bench were covered in little pieces of the previous occupants order. The floor under the table was littered with old chips and chicken nuggets. Before leaving we used the toilets and they stank. The hand-wash basins were both caked in dried on dirt. If they check them every hour it us just to see of they are still disgusting. Seriously KFC if the bit the customers see us that badly neglected then God only knows what the state of your kitchen and food prep areas are! I gave 2 stars as the food was on par for what I expect from KFC
Bought food and had to wait 25 minutes to deliver food on the drive thru. Moreover they did not allow girls to use toilet.
Don't know if this is a new operation the restaurant wasn't open, just the drive through but it was a torturous visit. Having joined the queue it took nearly 30 minutes to drive off with my meal. I ordered a three piece variety meal, however the variety bit seemed to be off the menu as I received two drumsticks and a wing for my three pieces. My drink which was supposed be an original Pepsi, was also wrong and a diet variety of some sort. The food was actually quite enjoyable, hot and tasty but overall not the best of experiences.
