Very disappointing experience at KFC Hāwera.nnWhile the food is consistent with what you’d expect from any KFC across New Zealand, the service at this branch is incredibly poor. I placed my order and ended up waiting more than 45 minutes just to get my meal.nIt felt like the staff were prioritizing drive-thru orders over dine-in customers, though I can't be certain—either way, the wait time was far too high. To make matters worse, the tables were quite dirty and hadn't been cleared or wiped down.nAt the end of the day, the food is the same everywhere, so it’s the service and cleanliness that make the difference. Unfortunately, this location failed on both counts.
The chicken I wanted was sold out so I was offered either a refund or an alternative product. Overall the meal was good. Restroom was clean and tidy. It was a quiet Monday that I visited.
Have this for a treat occasionally as we live 30 minutes away. Arrived home from our last trip into town and sat down to eat and 2 pieces of chicken were missing. Tried calling and nobody answered. Wasn't busy when we went and not a huge order either. Maybe they should offer staff maths classes so they can learn to count.
Probably the best KFC could get. Efficient, good chicken. Just make sure to tell your online order to the counter when you arrive.
Clean, hot food, freshly made. Friendly staff. Fast service, can order on the kiosk for easynself service too... Or can talk with staff to order at the counter.
