The layout of this store may be unconventional but it has everything you need for your adventures. The staff was extremely friendly and helped me with any of my enquires. You can’t really go wrong with a Kathmandu product. They are durable, a bit expensive and stylish. Occasionally, the store may hold discounts, being this the best time to shop.
A great place to buy thermal underwear to keep you warm in the cold winter months! Great winter fashions for skiing or mountain climbing!
Usually good , but only 1 staff upstairs. Wanted to try shoes, was given 1 pair but needed another size, girl continued to serve & after 15 mins wait I left. Wasn't happy with service. I buy all my travel gear there.
Great friendly expert help and advice ... and bundles of patience while I explored clothing and footwear to suit a lengthy trip with lots of walking ... but not as a trekker or Camino type. Very good information and ability to test everything ... without sales pressure. Really helped me prepare properly for a Scandinavian adventure.
The five start are for a staff member Angela who I am very grateful to as she found my Garnet ring in the store after I left and she put it in a drawer with my member number on it. If I had my phone number connected to my club number then for sure she would of rang me. I have no stars for the staff member who I feel was a young male who I did not get the name of because when I rang to see if my Jewelry had been found the day after he did not sound interested at all. I gave him my number and asked for a call back either way and he did not phone back. I thought it was not good enough so I went to the store and the ladies in the store knew of my ring sitting in the drawer upstairs. No phone number around or mention to anyone that I had phoned up. If I was not persistent in going back to the store and thanks to Angela for putting it away, I would never have found my precious ring.
Good store layout with plenty of browsing options and very helpful staff. Make sure to ask about joining the Summit Club so you can keep your receipts on file digitally, have special access and discounts on a bunch of gear, and for every $500 you spend you get a voucher back to spend. There is often some big discounts on some of their gear too.
A very good selection of outdoors and travel clothing and gear. It is best to buy during a sale as they can be expensive otherwise. We have bought some very good travel gear at great prices during their many sales.
All the great quality Kathmandu products we love BUT poor customer service made for a unhappy shopping experience. I'm buying items to go adventuring. I don't expect to get spoken down to and have the staffer treat me like I'm an idiot
Terrible client experience when I could not get a refund for a $350 jacket one day after buying it, not used, with my receipt and the labels still attached to the jacket. I bought it as a present for another person who already had one, and I'm now suck with a voucher for a shop that does not offer me any other items of interest. I expect refund policies more in line with Australian consumer organisations' recommendations, i.e. full refund for change of mind within a few days off purchase
Very knowledgeable staff. Was helped out by a staff member called Dylan. Got me set up with the basics of hiking and trekking with good suggestions and tips.
