Great little activity in a town that lacks amenities. The owners are dedicated to keeping it open and a huge thanks to them.
Great selection of films. Popcorn is better than most! $15 tickets! Don't know about the bad reviews but the new management has really cleaned the place up. Comfy seats too. It's especially good if you're a tourist like me coming to a cinema that actually plays current film's don't miss the ads Either! I found out they're all produced by the management of the cinema and they are entertaining and hilarious
My partner and I went yesterday to watch Tenet. Which is amazing btw The guy at the ticket counter was very nice, really outgoing and helpful. We were the only ones there at that session so it felt like home, good screen quality and sound. Maybe the AC a bit high for us but I guess that is a standard thing in all the cinemas all over the world. First time I see a cinema that sells the posters of the movies, simply amazing , got 2 : We will come back for sure.
On a working holiday visa here from Canada! I’m from a small town and know the small town feel but man young man at the front on his phone and a bit lippy! Ac was on nice and cool! Girls at ticket sales and concession very polite! Cost of the ticket was steep but again small town! And then when I went to cinema 3 the seats were crazy dirty with a dingy smell! You’re young staff don’t care about your investment like they should! I’m sure there are other people that would love a great job in a small theatre!!

Great cinema, run by a local lad who is doing a lot for the community. Good movie choices and times.
Greeted by two gentlemen who were very nice and tickets were on special for school holidays, saw a movie with barely any people around, lovely and cool inside and snacks were yummy! Definitely improved and should be utilised more often by locals and visitors.
Lovely owner. Great selection of films. A walk down memory lane - what going to the theatre was like as a kid. Yummy snack bar. A must of you are looking for something in the cool air con to do in Katherine.
As a regular visitor to the NT this Cinema it was sad to see the closure as I have been there and Katherine people should be very pleased to see it open again under New Management. All the best to the new operators and hope you are successful in returning this Cinema back to its glory days providing entertainment to the region. I will pay a visit on my next return to the NT. My daughter came home from the cinema last night and was not impressed. Walking into the cinema was like a sauna. There were 12 people in there and they all sat through the movie due to not be able to get a refund as the staff closed the kiosk doors. Everyone was trying to keep cool by spreading out and not sitting next to each other. Continsuly dripping with sweat. My daughter said it was something you cant understand unless you were in there and it was the worst experience of her life.
