Fresh, fast, affordable and delicious. The service makes you as warm and happy as the sake. Love it here. Agree will all other reviews on the beef and chicken garlic sauce. Strong recommend.
I've been to Japan 3 times and always complained how western ideas of Japanese food is really unsatisfactory. This was amazing and my friend and I will definitely be back for a taste of Japan Food: 5/5

Best reliable and casual Japanese restaurant in the area ! Have been going since it opened 25 years ago! James is the best in friendly, fast service with great quality food ! Highly recommend it. Like others have mentioned before, this is a not a Japanese restaurant. It's run like a budget Chinese restaurant despite its name and menu. Overpriced food, for minimal quantity. This is capitalism at its best. We had a 'Empress sashimi plate' - $35 - and served with the thinest smallest slices of salmon, which weren't the freshest, sparsely decorated on bundles of shaved radish. There was more radish on the plate than fish. We also had the fried pork and chicken cutlets. Not bad, but how badly can one screw up deep fried food? It literally takes no brains to throw pre-made frozen food into the deep fryer. Minimalist quantity as well. To those who said it's quality over quantity, you've never had proper Japanese cuisine before. One star is even too much for a restaurant like this.
Slightly busy on a Friday night as expected, quickly seated and ordered. The sushi/sashimi standard combination is slightly overpriced but tasted fresh & clean. Highly recommend any of the teppanyaki dishes, was pleasantly surprised by the taste despite the presentation. Also tried the tonkatsu which was definitely one of the better fried Japanese pork dishes we've had in town. Will return to try more of the mains
My favourite dish here for years is the only Tepanyaki - Chicken and Meat .. that’s all

Delicious food, fast & friendly service. Will be back for sure. Best ask for wine from a fresh bottle though. Teppanyaki Cream sauce meat dish is divine, highly recommended!
Very reasonably priced. Excellent service. Good food. Honestly, I was trying to walk in to a different Japanese restaurant, they were full. I'm glad because it was really nice here. Drinks mildly, very mildly more expensive. But I'm cheep.
