Kafeine

This is a busy cafe in Balmain and most people come for the renowned breakfasts and lunches but I dropped in on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a coffee. The piccolo was well done and the lemon and blackberry yoghurt muffin was moist, flavoursome but not too sweet. There’s a good atmosphere here and a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by

Great breakfast and coffee! Had a vanilla soy latte that was delicious, and also the salmon benedict pictured. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Sydney - great spot.

It's hard to pick a favourite cafe around Rozelle/Balmain because there are just so many, but Kafeine is definitely up there! Consistently good food, with a menu that isn't just the usual suspects you find on most breakfast menus. On this particular visit I had the breakfast tasting plate, which was lovely! I particularly enjoyed the avo salsa on the fritter, it had so much flavour. I've also had the sambal eggs with roti, amazing...and the green eggs, also great. As you can tell, I'm a fan. The staff are also very diligent and on top of things, which is great considering it can get quite busy.

Wow! Perfectly run business! Today is Saturday and raining so for breakfast it’s packed with others waiting outside for a table. My coffee came within minutes and the food looked delicious. Wait team are happy and friendly and love their job. Thank you for always delivering the same standard each time I visit

Came from Melbourne and didn’t really know many places to eat breakfast for the next two days. Found this place, and the service was incredibly fast, the staff were friendly, the food was amazing and the presentation was top notch. After we had breakfast the first day, we can again as a family the next two days. DEFINITELY recommend this place for anyone staying in the city, it is a 13 minute drive away. And I recommend the Mushroom good ness and the breakfast pan!! Wish this cafe was in Melbourne as well. Parking: Woolworths parking very close to the cafe

Coffee is amazing ! Food is delicious and service fast and friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the good amount of food you get. We are vegan and went for breakfast and lunch and were very satisfied. Thanks team ! Dietary restrictions: Vegan options

We were after a good coffee and this is not our local area, but we were lucky to find this little gem. They no longer serve Campos due to a change in management, but their coffee blend was really good. Street parking nearby or not far from Woolworths parking lot. Can't comment on the food, but would recommend for coffee. Staff was nice too.

Great food, nice staff and quick service. It’s one of our favourite breakfast places in Balmain. You might sit at a communal table which I personally like. Especially when you can sit next to each other. It does get very busy and it’s a very noisy place. We had the corn fritters and something with the green eggs. A bit different what we normally have in other paces; very tasty! If you’re into ice coffee, try the special cold brew tonic.
