Best Chinese restaurant in the area no cap. Heaps of portion for the price. Always come here for dinner and the place is always packed with people between 6pm-8pm so make sure you ring them to book a table.
Overall I would give this place a 3.7/5.nnWe had to wait 30 minutes for the first dish to be served. The food was slightly salty but it paired well with rice strongly suggest getting a bowl. Strongly suggest the Laziji as well as their yogurt drink!!nnIt's definitely very busy at night 6-8, and tables were packed with people. We had to wait 10 minutes before getting a spot despite reservations made prior.nnThe staff were definitely trying the best to accommodate everyone, however the lack of space remained an issue. Strongly suggest eating here not during busy hours!!
The portion sizes of the dishes are very large and well worth the price. Each dish has a very authentic taste, suitable for those who like Chinese-style Spicy flavors. The crowd is also very large, and I even saw people ordering takeout, which seems to be students from nearby La Trobe University. I really like their homemade yogurt, which is not sour but slightly sweet, and can help to neutralize the spiciness. Many delicious dishes are not on the menu and are in Chinese. If they update the menu to include a combined Chinese and English version, it will attract more people to come and eat. As for the service, because they are temporary hired international students, don't expect too much,i believe they are already a hardworker.
Worst experience of my entire life. It started with the waitress not even bothering to greet us when we walked in — no menus or cutlery were offered. Then, I had to wait forever for our dishes. By the time we finally got our meals, the soup was cold and full of pre-prepared ingredients — nothing fresh at all. Halfway through, I had stomach pain and had to give up, plus the taste was absolutely terrible. On top of all that, the tables and chairs were sticky and grubby, the floor was filthy, and I honestly can't believe a restaurant like this is still allowed to operate in Australia.
It's a restaurant that we come for real authentic Chinese food, some of fishes are Szechuan , and some from the north east. We always order the same 3 dishes , the giant plate of chilli fish , tofu in crab roe sauce , salt and pepper chicken see pics ,maybe it's ain't the correct translation from Chinese . Around $70 for 3 persons , and we always have enough to take away for lunch tomorrow.
