I not long ago left Coopers with my family on a dinner out for Mothers Day, and I am absolutely horrified by the poor $200 experience we had. Firstly, as we arrived we are greeted by an obviously arrogant owner. I could tell she was the owner by the poor way she had decided to present herself and her disgustingly smug attitude, unlike her employees who were all in a professional looking uniform and had a friendly manner. After being seated we started to see how unorganised the business really is. A successful business would ensure that each table had one waiter/waitress that served them, however we had 3 different people that all seemed as though they were very rushed and under a lot of pressure, although at the time, it was not very busy. We started with two "Cheese and Garlic Pizza" that seemed to have lacked both cheese and garlic. Hardly worth $5, let alone $13.50 each. The main meals came out before we had finished the starter, which even if the place was busy, is poor hospitality. The early arrival of the main meals would have been okay if they were actually good. Four out of the 5 meals were okay, but definitely not worth the price, but the Chicken Involtini $29.90 was especially terrible. The mustard sauce THAT WAS NOT LISTED ON THE MENU was one of the most horrible sauces I had ever tasted. My sister continued to eat it by scrapping the sauce to the side, as she was trying to be polite. After completing the meal, the arrogant owner once again graced our table with her negativity, with a passive aggressive obviously rhetorical question about how the food was. We answered honestly, saying that one of the meals was really bad, and the sauce was extremely unpleasant. The owner was horrified that she was, for once, confronted with honesty. The comment we made should have been taken as constructive criticism, instead the lady abruptly walked away without a word and then came back with no apology, just a comment saying "Well, that's how it is supposed to taste". We were all taken back and annoyed by her attitude, as none of us were being confrontational. We did not expect a refund, but we wanted to make the owners aware of the flaws in their business. Ultimately, she took $15 off the bill. However, $15's off does not make us forget her attitude. Also, to top it all off, the plates were dirty, the meal prices were almost delusional considering the quality, and I am appalled at the fact that a meal came with a sauce that was not mentioned on the menu - this is a huge risk for people with dietary requirements whether the food is good or not. Overall, I never write reviews, but this place deserves a long and bad one.
This venue is great and we have never had a bad meal. Whether you a regular or first time guest the owner is so welcoming. Great to see such a wonderful business doing well. Suggest booking as place getting busy but this does not alter the quality of food and that shows a great business.
Great service and good quantity food amd friendly staff
Terrible customer service! The food was cold and came with a hair in it. I hadn’t even eat half when I noticed it, instantly feeling sick from it and still they charged me for half. Even had the audacity to suggest that it was my hair! I will definitely not recommend anyone to go there. Rude, arrogant waiter who didn’t even care when I told him I was going to spread the word on how bad the service was. Here’s the beginning of my feedback. Trust me my word of mouth will go so much further. Do yourself a favour, don’t go here!!!
This was my third visit in 4 months, all different days but only dinner. Great menu, friendly staff and quick service. Food is delicious and prices are on point. Definitely recommend. Excellent northern suburbs restaurant.
Good quality pub food with great gluten free options. Friendly and helpful staff. They take care of our special needs with a smile everytime. Good wheelchair access too. We come here specifically because so few cafes or restaurants deal well with gluten free options. There are a few nearby hipster style cafes but they have largely been disappointing.
The best place for my soy latte near my house and best food options whether it's brekky, lunch, dinner or any other odd time food. I have taken so many of my friends here and everyone loved it and I absolutely love the food and warm smiling staffs. The owner and his wife is also very welcoming.
Stumbled upon this gem on the way to the airport today around lunch time. Beautiful, sweeping interior facing a lawn filled with beautiful mature gums. The menu was diverse without substituting quality and the portions generous. Tastefully seasoned dishes all around, we were very pleased!
used to frequent and enjoy the restaurant until our Saturday night before mother’s day meal terrible, bruschetta uneatable, clearly were not coping with the huge crowd Service slow. We were told by lady owner that our 2 yr old granddaughter needed to keep the volume down ‘family restaurant’ well don’t take kids there. She even followed my son in law outside when he took my granddaughter outside to settle her in a passive aggressive way told her my god she’s 2 yrs old to keep the volume down. My daughter ended up in tears over it. We ate and basically ran. I will never go there again you rude rude woman and by the way the restaurant in general was so loud as there were so many people there but she continually came to our table it was so humiliating and embarrassing Lost our business coopers . The lady owner is absolutely horrible the rudest person I have ever come across She’s an absolute dispicable person
