Went with family for lunch. I am not sure if this is suppose to be a fine dining experience but the owners really need to reflect on whether their service, food and overall experience is worth the price because it absolutely is not. The service was extremely slow and unenthusiased, considering it was not busy at all, I was not expecting for the service to be so slow. When we got the food, the combinations were just simply weird. The chicken was overcooked and the sauce was burnt, the steak had an overwhelming amount of fat and was not cooked to what people wanted, the pasta was drenched in oil because apparently oil can be used as a sauce and the carrots were salty and over seasoned. Not to mention, for desert, we got the Pavlova, which again burnt, was no other way to describe as was awful. Overall, this restaurant is not worth going to for the price. Don't waste your time in dining in this venue. Save your money and your time.

Although staff were polite, food was disappointing. Lunch menu was over priced. My chicken still had stubbles of feathers stuck in the skin ! Not enough food on the plate for the price you paid. Carpet in the dining room was not clean/vacuumed ready for bookings. Views from the windows to the Mansion gardens were nice though. Over all, disappointing.

I’ll try to be fair because there’s a lot of bad reviews here. We went set menu - which is two courses plus a drink at $70 each. To me that’s “ok” pricing but in return I expect the food to be above average - why, because I can go to a good restaurant anywhere and have a good dining experience for $70 - so either, good servings or really high quality food. So I unfortunately chose the fish which was just way too small - probably less than 100g of harpuka and no side dishes. Fish was good and nicely cooked. What I needed though was 2 servings that size plus a good side dish like a big serve of greens or some carb. My entree calamari was pretty good paired with beetroot and orange - but another in my group was complaining his calamari was inedible (he tried each piece and then stopped eating) and then I struck my last piece which was over cooked. So 4 pieces tender but one over cooked. My glass of wine was a bit dodgy I suspected it had been sitting too long as a half bottle and was a little oxidised. My advice would be to spend a little more time on quality control, ditch the fixed menu and make more generous servings.

We had lunch at Joseph's Restaurant yesterday. I ordered carrot soup for $10. It took a long time to come--the rest of our group had finished eating by the time it was served. I asked why it was taking so long and was told they were making it. Within a short time I realized I was ill. For the next 6 hours I suffered the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had. The chef must be responsible for serving a dish he had to know was questionable. DO NOT EVER ORDER THE CARROT SOUP!!!
